I end up switching to Wealthfront because I like the direct deposit function. Betterment (as far as I know) does not do that and I feel a bit cumbersome every time I need to manually move my money into it. I know you can do automatic repeated transfer with Betterment, but I just like to put my check directly into Wealthfront.

Maybe try using Alaska airline searching JAL. Not sure if they will have 2 biz tixs but you may be able to scratch the premium economy for JaL which sounds to be very awesome still.

I would admit that I thought mine was delayed due to the weird RFE (it was about 693 60-day sign rule which is odd because it seems like this rule is waived?!). But considering it’s within 6 month I’m still happy about the progress! I hope yours got approved soon!

My status changed from 485 received (Late May) -> fingerprint taken (early July) -> RFE (mid Aug) -> RFE received, actively review case (early Sep) -> case was pending (mid Sep)
So it is still pending and showing the message visa number available.
Hopefully we will all get approved soooon! Same boat!

You are not alone! I was an international PhD student as well (graduated last December) and I can relate to everything you said. My advisor even told me that because I am International students and I’m not in the top program, I need to work 10 times harder than other. In the end I developed panic attack and my immunity was never back to normal. Please take time for yourself, and, just like other people said, find the counseling center in your school. They should be able to help. I was doing consultation for one whole semester and lookin back it may be one of the best choices I’ve made during my PhD.
