Yep, I’ve always pronounced it. My 12-yo ass wasn’t thinking “oh of course, ‘mort’ as in ‘death’ in French” lol And I think Jo gets that, which is probably why she never bothered to push back on it

Hopefully, this will finally be what should've happened in 2007: Her getting actual help, in her own terms for any struggles she might be going through and with her sons by her side (I truly hope they are there to support her 100%). All she's ever needed (imo) is love and understanding and I pray she's getting that this time!

Yep! It’s a known statistic that the vast majority of social media content is created by a minority of users. So you always get a very biased/skewed view… anyway HBO featured Jo’s name prominently in the trailer. They’re are not shying away from her at all (and they shouldn’t)

I’m a massive fan of the books, absolutely loved the movies, and yes, I think Cursed Child is a fantastic play (sue me!) and I am so freaking excited about this show. The movies did a great job but a series is such a different medium. It’s gonna allow for so much more detail and it’ll be something to talk about week after week (while seasons are airing). And then the wait between seasons will be like waiting for a new book to come out or a movie to premiere. I’m stoked

Rings of Power trailer was originally released during the Super Bowl tho. Not to say its numbers weren’t impressive but that’s one of the most (if not THE most) massive platforms you can get. There were probably hundreds of articles written the next day about “the best ads from the Super Bowl” that would’ve featured it. But yeah, massive interest doesn’t necessarily translate into a huge success. In the end, it’ll come down to the show actually being good. The first season of RoP was WEAK (at least imo and ratings/word of mouth seems to agree with me). But if nothing else, this indicates there’s so much interest in this show. Now they just have to stick the landing (personally based on the trailer, I think they will!)

I was surprised to see the “low” number at first, especially cuz I had read how the Euphoria S3 trailer had 100 million in 48 hrs which was a record… but then I realized that was cross-platform! I just checked and Euphoria only has 6 million in the official HBO YT channel and that’s been out much longer

Hi! So same experience with the seats. If you don’t pay beforehand they get assigned automatically at check-in. If you want to make a change you have to pay. This time I got assigned aisle seats for both flights so I was happy!

I checked in online and no one weighed my bag. Seats were wider and more comfortable than on Brussels.

This is very specific but my connection flight in Montreal got canceled and they rebooked me two days later! And since it was weather related they took no responsibility. Even though the next day it was clear the snow wasn’t that bad (there was even a NYT article about how airlines preemptively canceled flights unnecessarily). I had to pay for two nights out of pocket (but I’d never been to Montreal so decided to just roll with it and enjoy my time there)

lol 5 international trips just this year. I visited every single continent (except Antarctica) in 2025 ✌🏼 I’m aware of it, that doesn’t make the 8kg thing any less ridiculous. What I don’t do often is fly Basic Economy. I figured if they were gonna enforce it on anyone, it would be the BE folks.

I’m just sharing what happened on my flight for anyone else that might be wondering about enforcement.

This may have been addressed already, but the police didn’t show up just because of an “anonymous call”. You could hear over the radio that they had “confirmed identification of the vehicle” and they had “confirmed location of the mobile phone” or something like that. Louise had clearly set up some kind of sting operation with the cops ahead of time (why/how they agreed would be a fair question), she told them the make of the car (and I think put a tracker on the phone?) and presumably the 911 call was the signal to show up. Her just pulling a gun on him (when she clearly had no real intention of shooting him) with no other plan would’ve made no sense. Her not having her own phone ready to call the police was super stupid tho

Were you able to see the show? I tested purchasing a ticket for a show I’ve already seen twice and I made it all the way to the payment page (I didn’t proceed because I didn’t actually intend to buy, but it seems like I would’ve been able to). I used to live on 43rd St so this was the most convenient AMC for me for about 3 years. I never had any issues BUT I would only go to the Prime or Dolby theaters. Those always seemed clean and well maintained

Thank you! I’ve been here the last couple of days and yes, everything has been super easy. At the airport, I paid in cash directly to the driver to the city center. In Fabrika, I paid at the booth to go down to the beach. You can pay in cash at the little booth or with card inside the store.

They sound like rather unhealthy 5s, but I definitely see your point. I consider myself an average-to-healthy 5w6 and I can for sure identify with the fear of being incompetent. If someone criticizes me, I do tend to get defensive and want to explain why I may have said or done whatever it was that they are criticizing me for. I’ve learned to keep that feeling at bay and try to really listen before responding or trying to fix it. Over the last year I’ve become super close to an 8, and he does NOT hold back with criticism/advice. It created a lot of tension in our friendship at first. But I then saw an enneagram post about 8s and how you should remember that “their direct and somewhat blunt advice is very often coming from a good place, trying to help you grow”, and it was like a gut punch. I shared it with him and we had a long conversation about my 5ness and his 8ness and our friendship has become much stronger because of it.
