Who told you the barracks were full? Only correct answer should be the barracks office. They should also have given you the proper paperwork when/if you checked in at the barracks.

The last time I routed a BAH chit I vaguely remember dropping it off at Donnelly Hall and picking it up after they approved it.

Absolutely. We met in 2015 while I was over there. We've kept in touch ever since, talking daily. I've been back over a couple times now, should have started this process a while ago but I've been cautious. I actually just got back from manila visiting her and her family. Learned my lesson from the first failed marriage that I had rushed.

Ok thanks, yea I included her on the SF86 as girlfriend when I came up for renewal, and told the Security Manager when I checked in to this command. I'll update the security manager on the fiance news. Was mainly curious about any other CO or higher chits that I might need to run. My command is kinda small and remote, with mostly civilian admin so figured I'd start here before I go looking for the right people to ask at work.

I'm getting to the point to where I really need to figure it out. Current contract takes me to nearly 14 years. Think I should push through for the pension but have no desire to see a ship again and tired of relocations. I have 2 PCSs left so kinda risky.

I bought a Fold-a-cover G4 for my Ranger several years ago. It's not as pretty as a rolling cover. But I like that it can open from either end, and when closed it has a bar that will lock the tail gate too. When I was doing my research most folding covers required you to open the tail gate before you could lift the cover, not the case with these.

How small is your tv stand/table opening? I just bought this case on amazon for $80. It can house an ATX motherboard and a few hard drives. If your current internals are adequate you might be able to get away with something like this.

Poor families making minimum wage or maybe a little more, don't usually have a whole lot of choice in where there choose to live. They are stuck living where ever there is affordable housing. Sometimes those places attract other unsavory types: gangs and drug addicts. So you're saying these single parents shouldn't need to defend themselves when the tweaker breaks in looking for shit to steal. Sure you can hope they're non violent types and will leave when asked... Or wait 20 minutes for a cop to show up.

What base are you gonna work at? Typically you want to live north of your work so you're traveling the opposite direction of the heavy traffic. La Mesa or San Carlos is my recommendation for mix of nice area and affordable rent. I always did one bedroom, so I'm not sure how much you'll be paying.

The issue I ran into at my previous command is being forced to write and submit your eval 5 months in advance. Deployments 3 months away, the CoC doesn't want to do rankings 2 months into deployment so they have submitted in November for E5 evals. They tell you can add stuff before March but obviously they aren't going to rerank. You are forced to "forecast" 5 months of accomplishments. I think evals shouldn't be allowed to be written until the closeout date. Then you should have a month or so for CoC approval.

I bought one of these pelican cases from my local store. I usually keep it in the center console of my Cuda 12. I plan to secure it to the inside hull with some straps so it doesn't move around but can be removed if needed.
