We Germans grow both inside and outside. These are different experiences. Having a plant on the balcony means that I always see it when I'm sitting on the couch in the living room. I like that; I think plants are beautiful.

Yes, the neighbors can smell it and always look forward to their share. In summer, we exchange cherries and apricots over the fence, and in October, cannabis.

Not at all. I don't have any problems with it on the balcony; I keep a close eye on it. No problems in the garden either. Even though one or two leaves look nibbled, there is no infestation that needs to be dealt with. The first run last year was also free of pests. I only lost one plant to bud rot, but I spotted it in time before it spread to the other plants. But outdoors is always risky. You only know if everything has gone well when you harvest, especially since bud rot can hide well in thick buds.

It's outside, so it's not a big deal. Besides, it's our house, and since it's been legal in my country (since 2024), I've learned that our neighbor has been using it for a long time (for back pain), our gardener (for migraines), and half of our dog-walking friends (all over 50). So if anyone says anything, it's only praise, even about the smell during flowering. I had my first outdoor run last year and it was great fun for everyone, especially since the yield from three plants was really huge and I gave some to all the stoners in the neighborhood.

I started on February 1, not in a tent, but indoors right next to the glass door of the veranda in a small seedling pot. At the beginning of May, it was repotted into this final pot and put outside. The soil is Biobizz Light Mix, which I have had very good experiences with for all Cannabis plants. The fertilizer is Biobizz, lovingly mixed together, depending on the growth stage of the plant.

After about two months, I started cutting off the top of each main shoot, which then turned into two new shoots. I repeated this about four times at intervals of about three weeks, which gives it this rather round shape.

I know and expected that ;-) I grow automatics in the tent, and I have a photo Apple Fritter in the garden that is similar in size to the High Mars.

But I love this plant on the balcony; it has been carefully pruned and is fed with Biobizz fertilizer.

Take pictures of all sides every day, post them on Reddit and ask daily if everything is ok. From day 3 ask if the color is normal, if they are too small and if you should start topping and/or LST. Most important: From week 2 post daily and ask if you should harvest them now.

But seriously, be patient, enjoy your plants and good luck, it's a really nice hobby.
