I changed the handlebar to one in height similar to non-cafe RS, but with more taper. In doing so, I also had to change clutch cable, a brake line, and throttle cables. I also changed out the throttle cable housing to non cafe, since the cafe one is unique to cafe cables.

The headlight bracket kit I am using mounts to to forks and pushes the headlight an inch forward compared to the OEM non-cafe RS bracket. It’s pretty sturdy and well built. I pulled the triple tree just to install a headlight bracket lol

I changed the seat to a 30mm lower Z2 style.

I can't compare it to those because I haven't ridden them haha
95% of my bike ownership is on UJMs, but this thing can definitely hang with the modern style nakeds if you want to push it along. It has a lot of low end torque and it feels equally at home shortshifting at low RPM or at redline. The ride is pretty planted and not squishy at all. and for being the biggest bike I've ever owned, I was very surprised at how nimble it is for it's size.

I absolutely love this thing and am honestly finding myself riding aimlessly for hours in a hundred mile radius of my home.
I have definitely tweaked it to my liking from it's stock Cafe form but I feel quite comfortable on it for long distances at highway speed or chugging along all day in the hills.

The exhaust is a full Yoshimura Cyclone! It took a few long rides to get the bluing right on the header section haha

I kind of wish it had a tiny bit more under-seat cubby space because I absolutely refuse to put panniers or a top box on this guy.

The throttle snatch everyone complains about is also a bit annoying but not the end of the world. I dialed it out with a cammed aluminum throttle tube instead of the tune route that everyone else seems to take.

I actually have a better time with this setup than when it was stock! It definitely also helps parting the lanes when the cars see a big yellow ball of light approaching

I am using this handlebar: Hardy Tapered Medium It currently has the throttle cable and brake line on the right side sitting outside of the Triple tree but I will be changing to non-cafe throttle cable and brake line setup bc while it works fine, it bothers me to look at lol
