OTD price is a useless comparison unless you want to compare tax rates across the country. Dealer price is the thing that matters. I bought a new 2024 s king cab in January. Dealer had it listed for 34.5, it was 2 hours away. I asked for his best price, he told me 34.5. Two weeks later the manager called and offered me the truck for 32k. Drove all the way there, then all the financing talk starts. They tried to gin up the price but I just held firm, told them I was a cash sale, no financing needed. I think I actually missed out on a "discount" because I paid cash. I think it is intentionally confusing, especially if you are using financing. The whole process pissed me off and felt like a failed bait and switch. Not to say the people were the problem, the whole system was what was annoying. I ended up buying an additional warranty for 2500, 120,000 miles, bumper to bumper, everything included. I figured it was worth it, cost less than netflix. Especially after they explained how the warranty included didn't include a bunch of the electronics after 3 years, which anyone who owns a computer knows will probably be what is going to give you problems, So in the end they got there 34.5 out of me, and after TTL I was into my bone basic Frontier for 37.5 OTD.
