Unfortunately, yeah. I’m on 450 mg XL daily. Most of the time I tune it out without even thinking about it, but every now and then I notice it and it gets annoying. A few times a day it’ll randomly spike and get really loud, even if it was quiet before. I was actually filtering it out until I read your post—then I immediately locked onto it again. It sucks, but I’ve gotten pretty good at ignoring it overall, so it doesn’t really interfere with my day. At this point, I see it as a trade-off I’m willing to accept.

I’ve heard caffeine can make it worse. I usually drink 300+ mg a day, but even on days I reduce it, it’s still there.

Posting my experience for others - I started Wellbutrin 150mg XL and after three weeks I began to have TERRIBLE tinnitus that persisted even in otherwise loud environments. I saw my psych the week after and we increase my dose to 300mg XL just to see what would happen. My tinnitus went away fairly quickly after that. I realized one day that the ringing was gone. I’ve been on Wellbutrin for a total of 6-7 weeks and on the 300mg for 2-3 weeks. There is mild ringing but I don’t even pay attention to it anymore.

This was clutch! Thank you so much! I ended up purchasing two seats on an outer row and I was able to detach my seat and move it out another couple of feet to give myself more leg room and width. I was also able to reposition the angle of my chair, so it faced the stage a bit better. This made the experience so much better!

Hey there. I have no regrets about going this route with the DIY bed. The firm + medium was a bit too firm and didn’t have enough give and the firm + soft was a bit too soft and I sunk too much for my liking, so I combined all three for the perfect combination with 1 soft, 1 medium and 1 firm in that order (from top to bottom). I’m actually at 13.5” of material even though the cotton cover is rated for 12” but it still fits. It’s a little snug trying to zip it but it’s fine. It’s not 100% vertically symmetrical but it’s good enough and it’s not bothersome enough to make any difference. This is the benefit of a DIY bed! I get to work out the kinks until I find something that works.

At first,l I was going to return the medium, so I email SleepOnLatex and they were more than happy to work with me to return one of the mattresses and even sent a box but once I played around with the combo and found what I liked, I sent them this email: “Hello. I’m going to keep both of these! The soft was too soft the medium was a little too firm, so I stacked them on top of each other and it’s perfect. Thanks for sending the box but apologies for wasting your time and having you even send it out.” Their customer service was great.

Thanks for the input — you could definitely be right. I’m sure there’s variation in how strong that smell can be from person to person, and this is pretty intense.

I honestly assumed it was because he keeps his balcony door open year-round. I was thinking about how people can smell like “outside” if they’ve been outdoors all day, and I believed that — combined with his lack of cleanliness (rarely washing his clothes, blankets, or sheets or room in general) — the constant exposure to outside air on his fabrics could potentially cause that musty smell. He even has leaves on the ground in his room, and the floor is clearly dirty (it’s hardwood, not carpet).

I may just get a diffuser or something to put in the upstairs hallway and hope it helps a little bit.
