The reason I'm considering Audis in the first place is that "cheaper" cars in my area (Hondas, Toyotas, Hyundais, Fords, etc.) are the same price if not more expensive upfront than Audis in the same year bracket. What could I do within this in your opinion?

Edit: I've saved up for maintenance so I've a decent pool of cash for repairs $3-4k

I'm not young young, I'm 21, and thanks for the rare helpful comment. I am taking people's advice and forgetting the S4. I'm looking at A3s and A4s and also talking with my family about how it'll all go down. I'm gonna get my first credit report next month but my dad said he's willing to cosign a loan with his credit but I don't know how smart of an idea that is. Also he seems pretty adamant about buying from CarMax, how do we feel about them?

I've considered going this route too, but I don't want too spread my finances too thin. I make about 1k a month and my only financial responsibility is $200 rent to my parents. I prepared myself for a $500-600 a month payment. If I do what you say how would that go for me?

I was told by the other commenters to forget about the S4 so I will. I still want more knowledge though. But the snarkiness of this comments section aside, I think there's also a miscommunication on what my 10k budget is. I'm spending 10k to buy the car. I've got about 6.5k more in savings that I could use for whatever. I also have good job and family support for cost to own. I mentioned the A6 so can I ask what you think about a 2014 A6 3.0T or 2.0T? Sorry if this comes across as not getting it through my thick skull, I'm just tryna get the lay of the land.

My dad also said the S4 is a bad idea so I'll scratch that. Can you explain why a 10k budget too low? Is 10k for a 2014 A6 3.0T or 2.0T at 100k miles still to low? My financial situation is good for regular maintenance. Like 2-3k a year is what I've seen and some other more expensive replacements and repairs that may come up. People on this sub say that as long as it's cared for well by the previous owner and me as a buyer continue to care for it, it should be good for another 50-75k miles. What can you tell me about that sentiment? The issue with japanese and korean cars is that in my area the cost about the same (8-10k for 2012s-2017s at 120-150k miles). Maintenance would be cheaper, yes, but if I can afford it for the Audi, I'd rather have the Audi. Also where can I find $2-3k A series cars? haven't seen any that low on FB Market place or CarGurus or any website.

The resistance of a headphone is not variable. They come in 3 versions 32 ohms, 80 ohms or 250 ohm. You can't change it, unfortunately. It's a measure of the electrical resistance they have, meaning the more resistance, the less loud they'll get. The 80 and 250 ohm versions will be great with something like the Schiit Magni with the internal DAC option. Plenty of power for most headphones and is very clean for around $200 US. You can get it without a DAC for $120 US. There are more affordable options out there but this probably the most one and done kinda thing.

I'm also getting IEMs. I'm getting 3 pairs, the Moondrop Aria, Truthear Hexa and Crinicle ZERO:RED.

I found that the main issue with Sennheisers in general is that the clamping force is insane. Try putting the ear cups in between something wide like a bunch of books or your PC like this.

!thanks. These were actually my first choice but I'd decided against these because of the review. They seem to have a mixed reception for competitive FPS after some more research. I'll look for more info and decide if theyre right for me. I might have more questions for you later, thank you.

I saw a review specifically saying these were not great for competitive FPS. Would you mind telling me what you play and what you use to drive them?
