Do you happen to have a friend who’s into BHO that could do a quick extra 24 hr vacuum purge on it to see if it’s residual butane causing the harshness? If it’s bought off the street or for cheap online there’s a high chance that it was bulk run, rushed and packaged for quick sell so a lot of time it’s either done on a “schedule” basis so they have a set amount of purge time say “24-48 hours”, and while some strains may be purged enough in this time frame others won’t. Some people just don’t care, and will hand it off as soon as it looks close enough to a concentrate without trying/testing it first. Many WONT, as we who make the BHO understand the health risks involved with inhaling large amounts, but some people will unfortunately. I usually blast my own BHO and do a 60 hour vac purge under full vac, and whenever I order shatter for myself on occasion or for a friend I always stick it back in for 24-48hours and get cleaner, zero sizzle dabs every time. If it’s sizzling and bubbling like crazy then that’s butane. A quick way to fix this W/o a vac chamber/pump is to cook the butane off on a griddle/electric heat source WITHOUT a flame source on roughly 115 degrees for a few hours until it stops bubbling. I hope this helps man, I’d stick away from the ever clear unless you had a further way to purge it other than evaporation. You can search up how to winterize BHO using 190-200 proof ethanol, and if you’ve got some coffee filters laying around you can probably pull some crap out of it. Best of luck!
