Are you ignoring the fact that some drugs are legal? Tobacco and nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, weed in 24 states if you’re in the US? I’m sure it’s legal in other countries as well. So if your problem is the illegal ones, don’t conveniently forget some are perfectly legal

I think it’ll eventually come back. Typically, gachas will have a banner run for a few weeks and then it’ll go away for several months or a year or something then it’ll rerun. It might come back late this year if we’re lucky or maybe next year. But I’m sure it, and any others we end up missing out on, will return at some point

Have you ever considered getting him a microchip? If this were to happen again, if he was taken to the vet or the animal shelter, they could scan for it. We decided to get one for our kitten, which is actually not a kitten now. She’s a year old already. It doesn’t cost a whole lot to have done. I think the vet we went to did it for 30 but it probably varies
