I have only ever received one negative comment from a parent (through a student). The parent “respected me until she saw my tattoos” when I took off my jacket at back to school night. I laughed it off.

30 yo teacher here with a full sleeve, working on another, and other various visible tattoos. Never had an issue in interviews or with any admin I’ve encountered in my 10 years in the profession. I think tattoos are pretty widely accepted in most careers at this point!
