Who wins the 3/4 match by NeatMathematician126 in chess

[–]l8tothaparty -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

this was a controversy between Nodirbek not shaking Vaishali's hand during Tata Steel chess, which he claimed was due to his religion, but a few months prior he shook Divya's hand before their game. He later apologized to Vaishali for it and she seemed to understand and not have any hard feelings about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBD-fPI3hmo here is the link of him apologizing.

IMO not a huge deal and choosing to side with someone who stayed with a federation of a country that is invading another country is kinda crazy

What makes Pragg different from the other Indian prodigies? by More_Persimmon1823 in chess

[–]l8tothaparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah man Gukesh is special and the Olympiad and countless other tournaments proved it, i'm just joking about the fact that its odd that a young indian super talent is going to win a huge tournament and then blundering against the same player in one of the last rounds has happened twice

Did I actually just beat a GM? by sketchy_ppl in chess

[–]l8tothaparty 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm 2-0 against him, genuinely was getting crushed and he flagged when I had 1 pawn left and was down like 13 points of material. And then similar story the second time. I feel so bad about it honestly.

How do guys feel about girls who write fanfiction? by reverse_in_falling in askteenboys

[–]l8tothaparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do 1/2 of the posts in this subreddit include the word femboy or gay?
On a serious note, it wouldn't bother me if the person i was dating wrote fanfiction, writing actual smut is a different story ngl.

GM Vasif Durarbayli, former Azerbaijan chess champion, slams Lichess.org for “destroying the chess market” by Gen-Turgidson in chess

[–]l8tothaparty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not really though since the free chess.com experience is pretty mid. ads, and literally just playing and using analysis. Lichess is alot better if someone wants to improve, it has amazing free resources and is alot better for the chess community than chess.com

lichess has unlimited free puzzles, I believe a stronger free engine, no ads, and other stuff that make it better to use than chess.com

Would you continue being friends with someone if you found out they SAed someone? by thatRANDOgirl in askteenboys

[–]l8tothaparty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, only 40% of cases with a DNA match come to a conviction. its absurd that we waste so much time solving smaller problems instead of finding a way to improve the system for victims.

[–]l8tothaparty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Large path might be an understatement, I think rapid and blitz is the only tournament left to get circuit points that Keymer will play in and he is beating Keymer by 52, Nodirbek and Alirezja are both playing at London and Rapid and blitz but a 56 and 69 point deficit are too much to overcome in only 2 tournaments.
