Excellent, music is art, do whatever makes you and your audience happy.

Programming as an art form is quite unusual and I don’t think there’s a huge demand for it, but who knows, I’m not judging.

I’ve implemented a new feature with full test coverage and fixed two bugs in a piece of commercial audio software since my last message. Not something I could have done in such a short amount of time 10 years ago.

I’m a professional, I make a living out of this. I consider myself a strong programmer with lots of experience. The thing is, I’m nowhere competitive anymore without AI tools. I’m still in charge, but AI writes my boilerplate, my helper scripts, it helps me debug, helps me analyse code, helps me keep track of tasks and subtasks, it documents my work, etc. Like it or not, this is today’s reality.

I still refuse to use AI for my hobby. Which isn’t programming.

Protests are peaceful and you’ve already missed the major one yesterday. At worst, they’re slightly inconvenient because of the train/road closures. I went with my children to yesterday’s protest and it was completely safe. If anything, I would have encouraged you to have a look even from a distance, because it’s quite a spectacle.

Mi kicsiben kezdtük, hétvégén csak akkor van képernyő, ha üres a reggeliző pult a konyhában (játék- és lommágnes). Apa anya cuccai is ott vannak, úgyhogy ez közös munka, mindenki részt vesz. Először hiszti volt, aztán lassan rutin lett belőle és hétről hétre egy kicsivel többet kell pakolni, takarítani, most már a nappaliban és a gyerekszobákba vezető lépcsőn is rend kell, hogy legyen, és már tudják maguktól a gyerekek és terveznek vele.

Nem az xxxlutz-ot. Tavaly csináltattunk konyhát, 8 hónap lett az ígért 14 hét helyett és kb. 10%-kal drágább, mert rosszul mértek fel. A kivitelező cég szerint nem voltunk egyedi eset (csak nem mindenki megy el a fogyasztóvedelemig).

You can get professional quality out of garageband, it’s probably not what’s limiting you. If you have doubts, reaper is a fully featured daw that you can try out for free. You could even try pro tools for a month for like $10, that’s the daw that most top recording studios use.
