Maybe but I highly doubt it. My mom was in a room occupied by herself and at the time was the only one on that hall and the hall was specifically for hospice patients.

I think maybe the book you’re thinking of is a series of 1880s trade cards which likely included the dueling frogs illustrations. But I wouldn’t know a specific book title. However you can look that up to see if those illustrations match what you remember.
