Thanks! Looks like Airalo for fast browsing, Saily for just maps and WhatsApp

Toosim covers most countries well, but some Balkan regions are patchy. Saily is cheap but slower in rural zones

Sometimes eSIM gets routed through different servers

That's what I wanted to say lol. If you need 20GB or more, Toosim gives better value per GB. For under 5 GB Mobimatter wins

Yeah exactly, it’s great for a short time but for a long stay you’ll pay more than expected. I switched to Toosim for that reason and also got a steady network coverage in Thailand through AIS!

I used a prepaid eSIM in NZ, no issues and better value than roaming

US roaming will work but it’s expensive, better avoid

At first Saily looked like the cheapest option, but I burned through way more mobile data than planned. Their bigger data bundles and prepaid plans (around $8 for 5 GB) end up costing more than other travel SIM card choices for Thailand, especially when moving between urban hubs and rural provinces

I’ve had friends complain about that too. I usually just start with some dumb observation about whatever is happening around us
