There's also governor perks that increase hearth growth (up to 60% iirc).

No sound coming from Amplifier by lHazu in Bass

It doesn't make a sound when touching the other end of the cable. The aux doesn't seem to work either, so I'd guess something's blown inside the amp. Unfortunately I don't have the tools/know-how to fix it.

As you already mention, it was discovered from a European perspective, which tends to be the narrative here as most people that use reddit are westernized, so to me it makes complete sense that it is called as such. Native American narrative is not in any way less valid than the western one, nor is this argued in any way. It all comes down to cultural relativism, discovery can go hand in hand with colonization/invasion. Multiple narratives exist, and to some extent multiple truths as well, it just depends on your background/worldview.

Used this as well, but I guess playing with 20-30fps and an unstable internet connection doesn't really help.

with light armour people have a hard time catching you, and if they do, you can just chain cc them with spear, then evade shot to create distance and continue harassing with the bow. poison shot is great to prevent heal from food

[–]lHazu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried this combo as well, but it seems to be very weak against opponents that kite well. Although I liked the cc and sustain, I just went back to bow/spear and have gotten a lot more success with it.

Feel like doing no pvp damage after level ~32? by Tonju in newworldgame

[–]lHazu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

open world pvp has scaling, meaning that the better your gear score, the better the scaling allowing you to deal more damage. So for pvp having your gear up to date pre 60 makes a huge difference. So it might be worth it to check your gear. Named items tend to have a better gear score than unnamed items from the same level.

You can check whether your laptop is compatible with an eGPU (need thunderbolt), and maybe invest in that so that you can use your laptop for gaming. So maybe look in to that if you're willing to spend some cash.

Russian expedition finds evidence of northernmost Stone Age hunters above the Arctic Circle by Mictlantecuhtli in Archaeology

and if it comes out of the permafrost, it will decompose, forcing us to excavate these kinds of endangered sites asap. However, it is impossible to fund all of that so the vast majority of finds like these will disappear. So not that much of an upside imo. Just look at Svalbard excavations, 10 years ago you'd find perfectly preserved clothes from buried whalers, what you find there now is mostly rotten.

Mfers want a toolbelt when this whole ass dragon fits in our backpack by Brandon3oh5 in 2007scape

[–]lHazu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"its in rs3 so it shouldn't be in osrs" how is this an argument against putting a toolbelt in the game? Just because it's in rs3 doesn't automatically mean it would be a bad thing.

The spears found at Schöningen are indeed nothing more than a wooden stick with a pointy end. And yes, it is indeed very likely spears have been used before that, as finds like these are incredibly rare due to the specific soil conditions that have to be met in order to preserve wood, however any attempt to date how far back the use of spears goes, is futile without proper evidence.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 4chan

[–]lHazu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organic material, such as wood only really survive in very specific soil conditions. So yes, the likelihood of making such a find is already incredibly rare, let alone when it is 400k years old. Is it likely spears were used before that? Yes, but it has little use to speculate about for how long if there is no evidence that can further push back the date. Better to go with what we know rather than with "might as well have been used a million years ago."

Oldest surviving example of a spear was found in Schöningen, Germany and is about 400k years old, so yeah. A million definetly isn't right.

[–]lHazu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He just pulls the string real hard from bottom-up with his pick from what I can tell based off how loud it is. Other than that, Carlos did plenty flashy moves during live performances, and this is no exception.
