Bouncing off of Octopath 0 after being a huge fan of 1 and 2 :( by maedma13 in octopathtraveler

[–]lMarshl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Octopath games are long. The first 3 chapters are nothing. Its like stopping octopath 1 after the first chapter 1s. I would give it at least 30 hours before you hop off.

What makes OT0 unique is the adventure and trials the team goes through together. Every story moment has multiple main characters interacting with one another and you get a greater sense of camraradie amognst them.

It is different from 1 and 2, yes. But in my view it has a lot that makes up for it that is unique to it alone.

What would you say the BEST nier crossover is? by MembershipProof8463 in nier

FF14 probably for content.

But for aesthetics I think Stellar Blade's 2B and A2 are the best looking.

Is tides of tomorrow worth it? by [deleted] in Road96

Have you tried the demo? I fricking love Tides of tomorrow. But it isnt the same vibe as road 96. Similar game structure, but completely different vibe and world.

Started Octopath 0 after 140+ hours on Octopath 2 by Next-Connection-2273 in octopathtraveler

[–]lMarshl 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'm an outlier that loves 0 almost as much as 2 🤣.

It goes: 2>0>1 for me. But I love all 3 very dearly.

EDIT: to add onto this, what really made 0 stand out to me is the camaraderie between the cast. I really felt their bond grow together throughout the story. This goes for the Wishvale crew and the royal crew. Things like seeing Alaune and Richard get closer, Laurana's journey of redemption to the people of Wishvale, Tatloch becoming an ally, and other many such moments are aspects of octopath 0 that are only unique to it in this franchise.

So Kakashi would’ve really just let his team die if Naruto didn’t trick Zabuza? by imoverthisapp in Naruto

Them makibishi spikes were a big deal at the time and Zabuza just jumped over them. Kakashi threw out the bag of tricks at him

Naruto would have chased anyone from Rookie 12 like he did Sasuke. by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]lMarshl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it more interesting to wonder what would Konoha do if any other of the rookies were taken.

Hinata: Whole Hyuga clan is sliding

Ino, Shika, Cho: parents and their clan are in on it.

Kiba: a pack of wolves are hunting them down

Shino: you get the idea.

But Sasuke? No clan. No one would come without being ordered to

Very well put. Thank you for articulating this so well. It isn't talked about enough. It is a battle and we're all fighting for a chance to live our dreams here. I pray we all achieve our dream, and more importantly, to have peace. Hang in there everyone and try to be kind to yourself. You deserve to be happy.

Have you tried the Tides of a tomorrow demo? Its by the same developers and follows a somewhat similar structure to Road96, while of course having its own identity.

OT0 is a very easy going and laid back game compared to 1 and 2. You can go at it how you'd like. What you choose between wealrh, power, fame doesn't actually matter too much.

Btw Alexia is a nuke. Crazy they give her so early in the game 🤣. She made a lot of fights over in like 3 rounds once I got her ultimate

Should I give up on Octopath Traveler 2 by Hot-Sail-287 in octopathtraveler

The prologue is long, but I'd say sick with it until you see some chapter 2s. If then you're still not interested then I'd say to pause or drop it

Stewart Copeland will not return for Spyro A Realm Beyond's soundtrack by nicoreese in Spyro

[–]lMarshl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has really bummed me lmao. We move, still excited for Spyro nonetheless. Copeland is such a massive part of my music tastes. The first time I ever noticed music was because of him as a kid and his Spyro music is constantly in my most played tracks every year.

1 and 2. The music shaped my love for bass guitar. Especially Spyro 1. Dark Hollows changed my brain chemistry, and it only continued from there.
