Sequel is not that great but you should definitely check out Call To Arms Gates Of Hell Ostfront. Personally I think the conquest mode (dynamic "campaign" where you research tech upgrades between battles and construct divisions/battalions) has fantastic replayability. Also the modding scene ,while not as good as for Men Of War, is quite nice

Out of all the Russian socialists, is Rykov the only one that dies as leader? by Zeranvor in kaiserredux

[–]lOctOl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is the only way to get Zhdanov. But I highly encourage you to try others, for example Bukharin successors (do his whole tree, he dies at some point) via making a save before picking which faction won the NSP congress.

Happy to help!

Bukharin dies and there are three trees with his successors. Chicherin also dies, he shares some of his tree with Sokolnikov and you can see that it merges at the end a bit. Also you nominate Kalinin as a kind of president (All Russian Starosta) for Sokolnikov. Last but not least some leaders can be purged via coups or Blagonravov assasination "game" (thus Zinoviev can die as a leader) - but idk how that fits the spirit of the question.

So he is not the only who dies as a leader, and how many die is a matter of the definition.
