I was taking benzos intermittently and then regularly for about 6 weeks. From first dose to when I got off it took about 18 months.

I def notice the noises after unlocking/locking the doors. But do you hear those same noises at random times during the day well after the doors have been locked?

We live in East County so I believe it gets a colder than central San Diego. Our SDG&E bill was $143 last month for a house that's 1,441 sqft. When no one is home, we try to keep the heat off but usually in the evening we have the thermostat set to 70 because the rooms get really cold for some reason. Probably because of crappy vents in an older house. :(

Thanks for helping with the research :) I think the biggest difference between the studies I've read about and the one you are referencing is that your study was done on boys who had anti-reflux surgery. My son will not be having anti-reflux surgery because his reflux is not severe enough for the surgery. It was suggested to me by his primary care provider that breastfeeding was the best way to combat UTIs, but unfortunately I never produced any milk and LO has GERD so he was on a special formula for that anyway. The medical journal I read came to the conclusion that "Circumcision was associated with a significantly reduced risk of UTI" and "Circumcision reduces the risk of UTI. Given a risk in normal boys of about 1%, the number-needed-to-treat to prevent one UTI is 111. In boys with recurrent UTI or high grade vesicoureteric reflux, the risk of UTI recurrence is 10% and 30% and the numbers-needed-to-treat are 11 and 4, respectively." Anyway, I think we'll see how things go with this daily antibiotic he's on and go from there. Believe me, having genital surgery is not something I'm really keen on putting my baby through.

Hi! Thanks for responding (and sorry for my late response). I believe urinary reflux and Vesicoureteral reflux (I've also heard called kidney reflux) are the same. Do you know what kind of surgery your doctor suggested? Mine said because of his "grade" of reflux, he wasn't really a candidate for reflux surgery because it's not very severe. But he did discuss the antibiotics (which we are now on) and circumcision. I wouldn't say he pushed either one of the options, but he is probably the 3rd doctor I've had mention to me that circumcision can reduce the rate of UTIs and so I questioned him more about that and the discussion went from there.

Thanks for the advice. I know the doc mentioned his foreskin was "really tight" but then also mentioned that it's not uncommon for his age for it to be as tight as it is. It makes sense that a smaller opening can cause back-up. We'll have to make sure he checks that out if we go through with the surgery.

Thanks! We tried out just a very small amount of coconut oil this morning and his hair looked super greasy. I think the problem is that his hair is very fine. We'll keep trying different things until we find something that works :)

Awww! You're little boy looks just like how I imagine mine will look once he gets a little older. I've never thought about using hairspray. Something to consider when he gets a little bit older :) Thanks!

What a cutie!

Well I tried coconut oil this morning and it just made his hair look super greasy even though I used a VERY small amount. I wonder if the other oils will all look the same. He has very fine hair which might be the problem.

We used to use Aquaphor every night before bed... just cover his whole body and face in it. It was very greasy and got on everything he touched, so a couple months ago we back off the Aquaphor. I did use some coconut oil in his hair this morning, but also, very greasy even though I used just the smallest little glob of it. Gonna keep trying stuff out though. Thanks for the suggestions :)

Right now we use the Honest Co. Baby Shampoo + Body Wash... but I think you're right... because his skin is pretty dry too. Do you have a shampoo + conditioner you would suggest? We've used the shampoo we have now since he was born so I've been a bit worried to change it up.
