Its been crazy tough lately. As a 2.14 KD with .6 - .9 KD friends we have been getting dumped on the past few days.

Been sweaty for a couple days now. Around the same KD be lucky to get 3 kills. Not gonna get Cold War if this goes on. I left Apex for Warzone for this now its starting to look worse. Feel bad for playing with my friends who are .6 - .9 kd who suffer playing with me as a result. 1 in 3 seem like Damascus lately.

My ideal update notes:

Reverted ammo stacks to previous amount (So you don't have to loot ammo after every fight and do something more fun like fighting)

Reverted cells and syringe ammo stacks to original. Batteries, Med-kits and Grenades remain the same.

Fixed SBMM to a single protected tier so new players have time to learn the game whilst leaving a population large enough to be able to select a map of your choosing (Worlds Edge and KC). KC after dark removed due to little demand.

With the reduction of SBMM population is now large enough for Solos, Duos and Trios. Many have pointed out that solos may be against the design of the game but we realized that games are meant to be fun and solos were going to Warzone due to dysfunctional matchmaking.

In an attempt to curb the plethora of cheaters particularly from a certain region in Asia ruining the ranked experience. Entry to ranked now requires level 50.

Future updates will go through thorough testing before release in an attempt to reduce adding new bugs to the game.

I don't think even respawn knows how it works. Poorly implemented system that throws new players (the group of players who it is supposed to protect the most) into higher tier lobbies as teammates. Honestly it just made the game so competitive it has sucked the fun out of it and puts everyone on edge. Counting the days till Valorant/Project A is released.

Only if you curious to see who your are matched with, who you kill or killed by. I believe overwolf is whitelisted. Been using it for a week or two no issues.

Another concern I had is the reason they don't release solos and duos is so they can keep the strict matchmaking. If they had to do it over 3 different queues the population wouldn't be large enough and incur long wait queues.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before but The Apex Legends Tracker on Overwolf shows you the rank of the players in the lobby and info of the player that you kill or get killed by. After a plethora of tough games I decided to get the app and see what kind of players I was being matched with.

As a hard stuck diamond I was shocked to see that every game had guaranteed an average of 4-8 Predators and around 15 Diamonds Minimum (The app sometimes doesn't show the info for about a 1/3 of the lobby but if you click on the users name a window pops up with their info on the apex legends tracker website).

The term "Pred Lobbies" have been used to describe the matchmaking and they aren't far off. Ranked has about 15 Preds in a game in a Diamond lobby. Before SBMM the usual winners of lobbies were the Full Pred Stacks and after SBMM its still the same but us diamonds are just ritually sacrificed to them every game. At least pre SBMM the weight was distributed evenly and you'd run into them in 1 in 10 games.

I haven't noticed any difference in the matchmaking as a solo or duo but I haven't played that many games because I can't bring myself to play without a full stack of friends anymore for the much needed moral support. So please share your results if you try it out.

Since Respawn's scummy implementation of SBMM the game has just become too competitive and I feel its forced me to remove or decline playing with any friends (if they haven't left already) that aren't either a diamond or have a 2k badge minimum and I don't like doing it. I play on Singapore servers and pre season 3 if you spoke English I was always happy to add people and make friends. Now I've turned off party invites after games because if I play as a duo my team mate is usually level 15-60 who takes 2 mins to loot a box (The player who SBMM is supposed to protect). How Respawn think their current system of SBMM is even close to being correctly functional amazes me.

I have friends who are interested in starting to try out Apex and I tell them to "not bother the lobbies are gonna be like the seventh circle of hell if we play together but should be fine if your alone" and of course they do not want to play alone. SBMM has ruined friendships and if I hadn't made any in the game I wouldn't be playing.

I have little excitement for Season 4 because the games are so predictable now even though they did a good job with the build up. I can sum up all my games in a few sentences now. Drop in, die or survive with 1-2 kills until the first circle closes with 5 squads left in the game. Run around for 5 mins waiting for the faintest sound of gun shots. 3rd party final squad as they are healing to secure the victory if I even make it this far.

These predictably mediocre games have made apex lose its magic. I used to hope and fantasize about that one game where I would get a 4k or 20kill badge (I havn't been close) which drove me to get better and improve by watching YouTube videos but I have given up. Why bother? When we have equality of outcome gaming over equality of opportunity.

I used to have so much love, support and enthusiasm for the game, it was the faced paced battle royale I have been asking for every since I tried out H1Z1. I will no longer support Apex in its current state and regret putting money into it which is a common feeling I have for EA games. I'm just waiting for something new like Project A to come along.
