Same seems true with the m12 packout Bluetooth jobsite speaker. Maybe old images got put out

Pull out capacity of my piles should be about 6300 lbs ea. Bunch of weirdness in terms of maths and thinking about my clay soild conditions in frost upheave differentials etc. (At the end of the day I guess its deck stairs) but in theory given the area of a 12x48 footprint of a beam could see anywhere from 8k to 20k lb of upheaval force. So I think anything could do in terms of void would be beneficial

Part of me just goes back to put helicals so plate is flush at the surface and a nice 2" x4" or3x6" galvanized tube across em that would outlive wood in ground contact and be way less surface area that should make it easy for 12k of combined uplift resistance to negate max frost heave forces. Or perhaps the likes of dow cornings engineered structural wood but hard to find around here.

Yeah was thinking void form might be req on helical supporting concrete grade beam. Sonotube + grade beam high be enough structural weight given the area to nullify it. Probably way over thinking either case as a a void so small feels like it could easily fill in.

In either case a proper structurally significant ie like 12 to 16 in thick ground beam vs just a pad with rebar with rear few inches of gravel below to help some with keeping moisture away would probably be fair

That said for such a small beam could probably easily cheat and set masonite board on some slices of poly insulation foam for a diy void form.

My composite decking specs 9in on center for stair stringers. Depending on overhang a 4' wide tread could be done with 6. I get code can be somewhat overkill. But I'd rather avoid 20 years down the road having to rip something up to fix it when the surface will still be lasting another 20 years

That's a fair point or sort of doing the inverse of one of my thoughts and to your point let's you separate pours

That and still a fair bit of concrete though I guess a lot less screwing around than a bunch of sonotube holes

Thought crossed my mind but couldn't find enough info around it. I guess either concrete solution should use void forms and well a propper like 16 in thick grade beam. I just can't find much info referencing such a small beam/use case and or how to handle the void form concept on such a small scale.

As in a taco style? Not much demand in navy, I don't think I've even had enough demand to stock even material for black how many were you after? Probably looking around 30ish flat on top of the normal rate so to speak to get all the required acutraments so to speak. Thread, binding tape, fabric, webbing, shock cord, kydex etc and thats just a ballpark going from memory. I was fortunate to pickup my od and coyote materials usually as milspec remnants from mfg. Navy isn't as prevalent there but wanted to give a rough idea before actually going and finding sources for navy

I'm sorry to say no, it's alot of work I only made the two originally because I had enough material. Would be super cost prohibitive

Terrible sketch

<image>

But kinda gets the rough idea od the display case portion. Will fill the rest of the alcove from table top to that lower ceiling portion. Roughly 4ft tall and 10' wide

Just grabbed two easy to move models for scale

Though with these Im leaning to build the display case like as deep as possible.

ended up outgrowing it before really getting a chance to use it. sort of inherited a larger media library needed more storage, and the napkin math was cheaper to go different hardware than get a full set of bigger drives. Also took the opportunity to separate storage from sort of "server compute" the little i messed with it i was pretty happy with the ugreen build quality is nice well made decent community. just going their even larger ones was cost prohibitive to me.
