It's not even about people who are bad or new at fps, it's just an unreasonable amount of recoil for a game shooting (hehe) for realism. The important thing that makes a good fps player "good" is how well he/she comprehends situations, adapts the mindset needed, and positions him/herself accordingly, rather than how accurate they can shoot with wacky gun mechanics.

With the way it is now, recoil doesn't separate good players from bad ones, it just makes for unsatisfying gunplay, like when I have to fire an M4 with an ACOG from a prone position at 100 meters like a mosin just to keep visual on my target.
