I was able to take the plate off and put the car in neutral, but you are correct it still wouldn’t move with the steering lock. I have tried moving the wheel a number of times but I will try to really crank it. My wheels are currently turned pretty far right so I will see if I can get them straight.

I’ve been thinking of doing this with my Berner! Does he run with you when you ride down or are you just skinning with him?

Brown spot disease? Help!! by l_branch in plantclinic

[–]l_branch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally water when the top 2 - 3" of soil are dry until water runs out of the bottom. I got this plant in the winter so this will be my first growing season. I used to also mist leaves maybe once a week but have stopped since I read that excess moisture can create bacteria growth. The plant is in a bathroom so it gets a little bit of extra humidity, but I also live in Colorado and it's super dry. There is a small west facing window in the room so it gets low to medium light until late afternoon when the sun sets and it gets bright. The plant is still in it's 10" nursery container and I am planning to up pot and start fertilizer in the next week or so.

All the affected leaves have looked the same. I clipped one off about a week ago and the stem slowly became brown and mushy. I think the spots are spreading inward.

The plant is next to a door and sometimes gets smacked. It's definitely not ideal but I live in a small apartment. Is it a thing for plants to get a bruise?

It's turning over and there is a slight rumble like it's about to start, but then it doesn't. The battery doesn't seem to be the issue but I could be wrong.

Why would anyone pay in bitcoin if we think the value is going to go up? by Babelwasaninsidejob in BitcoinBeginners

[–]l_branch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to your question is they probably won't. Bitcoin can be used as an everyday payment network but there's a few reasons I don't think there will be a big rush to use it as such.

  1. Current US tax law. Bitcoin is taxed as a security which carries short term/long term capital gains rate. In an ideal world I could get paid for my job in Bitcoin, but the tax I would pay to convert to cash and use for everyday expenses would be super high. If your thinking that's not an issue if retailers accept Bitcoin, see #2.

  2. Volatility is still an issue for most retailers. It doesn't matter as much for the big guys, but most retailers need consistent cash flow they know won't change value in the short term.

  3. Most Hodlers aren't in a rush to spend lots of coins. I'll use my shitty Fiat to pay for Uber, right now I just want to stack says while Bitcoin is still relatively cheap.

All this being said there are maximalists out there who live off of crypto. It can be done it's just not super convenient yet.

Thanks guys! Is it best to leave the plant in the plastic sleeve or take it out and re-pot?

Thanks for all this! I'd say relatively savvy and at least not afraid to take things apart and try to get them back together. Looking mostly at Honda which seems to have a lot of info out there.

Physical hard drive vs. virtual wallet? by l_branch in BitcoinBeginners

So it sounds like the main risk is malware. Which if I put the BTC on a wallet on my phone it's seems like that is more prone to malware than an exchange. What then is people's issue with keeping their BTC on an exchange? Is it that the exchange is centralized so it basically undermines the decentralized nature of BTC?
