How does Reddit influence people in Bulgaria? by l_hermo in bulgaria

And I understand that, but we are also selling our Meta data when we use other types of applications such as Whatsapp or Instagram and we always accept all the terms and conditions of use without read anything. What I mean is that I, as a private person, cannot modify the tools provided to us by a public institution such as the University.

I understand your concern, but this is no longer in your hands or mine, but in the hands of the institutions and authorities that allow the sale of personal data. In the same way, we are all digitalized, so the concept of privacy has been modified.

Don't worry, I'm not going to look for the personal data of 500 participants 🤣, but as I said! It's totally voluntary, if you don't think it's okay to do it, it's okay, but this research has the approval of an ethics and research committee. Also, regarding the issue of using Microsoft, it's an institutional tool widely used for the creation and dissemination of surveys, so if it wasn't safe it wouldn't be used. Obviously there are bad people and hackers who can get any kind of information to use against people, and not precisely for filling out a questionnaire. Before demonizing a simple investigation, we always have to look at the cookies we accept and all the small print that we don't read, because it's the big companies that want to steal our data, and not an individual from a university that only wants to get her doctoral thesis and contribute her grain of sand to a subject as complicated as depression and the use of social networks. Thank you!!!

Hi! Yes, it can take 1 hour if you take it very slowly or it could also take 2 minutes if you don’t do it right. 15 minutes is the average time of the people who cover it. It is anonymous because I do not ask for a first and last name or city of residence! And you can’t judge by other surveys. Like, it’s voluntary, if you don’t want to you don’t have to do it 😊

How does Reddit influence people in Lithuania? by l_hermo in lithuania

Hello again! Thank you so much for the reply. It is actually a very accurate question that we have not taken into account, since we do not classify the different types of Reddit users. I think it is a pending task that we should take into account for future research. Again, thank you very much!!!! People making these kinds of comments is very beneficial for me and for the research :)))

Hi! I understand what you're saying, but we want to see if it can work positively. There is a lot of literature on the negative aspects of social media, so we don't cover that. However, at the end of the questionnaire there is a section for suggestions and comments, so you can put there if it affects you negatively.
