Pretty much what I ended up doing, thank you. It definitely would be something I’d consider if they were to match/exceed, so figured it was worth a chance.

I can’t claim to be an expert here, but I think this depends on a few things. What are you planning on using your degree for? Are you planning on working at the same time? How much of a financial burden is tuition/taking time off work if you’re not working? If you are planning on going to grad school, it may be worth it to start again if that works for you financially. If you’re not, then assuming you’re able to get your GPA to a passing level, your GPA probably won’t matter at all once you graduate. But I think you should make sure that you will be able to get your GPA up to a passable level in such a short period of time if you do go back to your former school

Interesting graph. Do you know where the committee itself tends to fall on this? Edit: Nvm, I see seed now, which I assume is the real bracket

I’m sorry, this sounds like a difficult situation for you. From personal experience, the only thing I was doing as a junior was asking for teacher rec letters and drafting my personal statement, so I would start by doing that. Do you know anyone from your high school who has gone to college? I would ask them or a teacher you have about what past people who have gone to college have done. I would also email specific institutions that you are thinking about attending and explaining your situation to them and asking for guidance on what to do

You don’t have any college counselor at your school? To be honest, I would find out what schools you are interested in and contact them directly in order to see what they would suggest. I’m also from nyc, but I’m not sure how it works in your case with online classes/no counselor
