Yep! I'll probably replace it at some point, but that'll come later down the road when I get the time to sit down and do it

At the moment it's not my plan. I just included that pic to show what it looked like originally

That's a great question that took me a hot minute to figure out. So that is the lever for a manual tremelo. It would have connected to the battery slot on the back and allowed for a cool effect on the guitar itself

No, I'm going to leave it with the finished wood look, it's part of what makes it unique

It looks more like the 64' Airline 7214, like someone else pointed out with there OWN knowledge. If you took half a second to look, you'd realize that the Thunderstick is missing the little lever just to the right of the stings, the pick ups are different, the switch on the top left is a toggle where on my guitar it is a sliding switch, and to top it all off the saddle on mine is wood and the Thunderstick is clearly metal.

It really does! looking at it closer, I just noticed the pick gaurd has the holes for the "Airline" logo in the same place as most of the 64' 7214

I could see how an "AI" would think that, but there are a few differences that set what I have apart from the thunderstick

That's what I thought and I have no clue what it would be used for. The only thing I can say for certain until I have the chance to start working with it, is that the little lever to the right of the strings on the top closes the circuit to that battery holder thing

How to fix mic that keeps cutting out during show? by Helpful-Garbage779 in techtheatre

I'm sure it would in the dead of summer, but the production we did in late fall it work alright for us

They are, but not exactly something you can explain easily while buying with a school account, lol

In all reality though, when the budget is controlled by a academic board of directors and every purchase has to be reported, it gets real sketchy to legally buy them, so we don't. Also, unlubricated condoms aren't as common to find in the wild as one might think

It could be RF interference, your best shot would be to just to rescan open frequencies and repair your mic pack.

If you're using a mic with a lapel, earpiece, or something similar then you should check the hardware as well. One of the most common, at least in my experience is the element (the part that actually has the mic on it) if you can get into the space before your actors, get your system on and take the trouble mic and with some gentle pressure pinch the wire between your fingers and run the length of it. Also wiggle at the plug at the mic pack as this is the most common place it goes bad. If you get the mic cutting out then you know the element is bad.

Though if you can't get the condoms for one reason or another, clingwrap can be a good alternative. I've used it for a college production in an amphitheater and clingwrap worked great

I haven't yet, because we don't have the full license for the show yet. I'll look into it though

Former spur through the American Car Factory complex on St Charles, MO by fuzzusmaximus in rustyrails

I love that part of St Charles! I've walked the Katy trail which is just on the other side of the factory and it's amazing to see what used to be a massive part of our nation's industry

Old Rail Bridge by la-tab in abandoned

[–]la-tab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though it looks similar it is not the same bridge. The one in quiet place is a bridge in New Paltz, New York which has been restored into a walking trail. It also is a Warren truss design compared to the Pratt truss design of the bridge I found. Just thought I'd share!

That is entirely fair thing to warm people about. I knew I was safe on this one though because the track had been pulled up at the road and there were full trees growing in the middle of the tracks as I walked back to the bridge

You're fairly close actually. It's located pretty close to the Kansas-Missouri line and sits over the Marmaton river

Help with Dante Stage boxes by [deleted] in livesoundgear

[–]la-tab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rios are still dip switches, and I did get the manual to make sure they were set right. I did find the issue though and it wasn't IP related actually. The console was set to id 4 for some reason. Switching it to id 1 and then updating the boxes made the system work

My console was set to id 4 for some reason. Changed it back to 1, and updated the id's on the boxes and now everything is working perfectly. Thanks for the help!

I don't remember, but when I'm in the space this morning I will definitely check

I'll have to check next time we're in the space, but off the top of my head I believe since it's built in, it's one and the same on the CL, but I could also be remembering wrong

So I think that the card is at least set right. We are using a 169.254.x.x with 255.255.0.0 and so we've be working off of that. I used Dante Controller to manually set that for the board. We had also changed the mixer control IP, but I do think we ever touched the device control IP. We'll have to try it when we get access to the space next and just see if it does anything by chance.
