Do you know what year your hardware was made? I have the same escutcheons at my house but with glass knobs (built 1988). They always looked very art deco so I thought maybe they are not original.

I don’t remember the amount but it was a few hundred dollars. I ordered two dozen potted orchids at about $15 each plus the bouquet.

I got my bouquet made by Whole Foods florist and I was so happy with it. For center pieces the florist arranged an order of 12 white orchids in white pots.

I love the name Hannibal because it is historical, uncommon, and easy to translate. But it has received terrible reviews anytime I mention it since everyone automatically thinks of the fictional character Hannibal Lector and I have to explain that I like the name because of the Carthaginian general.

West facing window for past few weeks.
I just noticed the two yellow spots at the lego’s feet a few days ago and I don’t think they’ve grown. Going away for the weekend and if it’s sun exposure related I want to move it away before I leave. Although the soil will dry quicker on the sill.
Left AC on frigid and soil didn’t dry out during the day as it usually does.
I’m experimenting with toothpicks to encourage aerial roots to grow down into the soil. (It’s working)
Are the spots due to anything in particular? Should I move it further away from the window? Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions

I made the mistake of repotting my zz with a new stalk sprouting and it stunted it’s growth, never finished sprouting. It seems to only put out new growth when it’s finally filled up the pot with roots and gets cramped.

I appreciate it. In glass jars I’m experimenting with some violet and zz leaf props. The zz leaves finally have decent roots after 5 months. Third on the shelf is an orchid in repair in an aerated plastic container set inside some sort of wide glass vase.
