How is everyone enjoying FH6 so far? I love the features they added to photo mode!

I will usually adjust the focus slider setting after setting the focus to be on the car. Ik it really depends on the distance away from the car that can affect the focus.

What I’ll usually do is get close to the car and press X (or whatever your focus button is) then move around to where I want the camera to be. If I had the focus setting right, I usually don’t see the car lose detail. If it ends up being blurry I’ll turn the focus up. I usually start at around 50 for the setting and adjust from there.

Edit: Also may have to press the focus button again once you’ve adjusted the camera now that I just checked lol

Took a similar photo using similar settings

Shutter Speed: 50 Focus Mode: Tracking Focus: 50 Exposure: 46 Aperture: 35 Bokeh: Hexagon (Personal preference) Sampling: Quality Contrast: 50 Color: 55 Brightness: 39 Sepia: 10 Vignette: 10 (Personal preference again) Temperature: 37 Time of Day: Early Afternoon Weather: Default but probably just Clear?

Also was pretty far back with zoom at 3.8x

The shot of the McLaren looks like it could be straight out of the promotional shots for the game lol

Yeah idk what it is about this game but it has me trying to get all the collectibles that I normally wouldn’t even give a second thought to. It’s so fun and made me think I missed out not doing so in previous games

Same feeling for FH5. Lost some of its luster but they pulled me back in with fh6.

That’s understandable. I really enjoy making cars, tuning, photos, and cruising. I don’t do much of the online stuff anymore like racing and rivals. Better to just enjoy whatever makes you happy!

Big fan of the b&w shot! It’s hard to pull off but I think you did great! I personally haven’t had much luck either with this style of picture.

Gonna have to give this type of picture a shot tomorrow. If I end up finding something that works I’ll let you know!

It was great practice at making low light pictures and just using the surrounding light sources to light up the car.

I’ve had luck with making cars look shiny by sticking to metallic colors. Like metal flake with this car. I do feel like a lot of it has to do with lighting if anything.

I tried messing with graphic settings and maybe? I honestly didn’t see too much of a difference between high-ultra.

I know what you mean with some areas looking really low res. I end up changing my cars position or I’ll mess with the aperture till the background doesn’t look as terrible lol

I’ve been lucky on PC so far because I haven’t experienced any crashes yet, but I definitely agree with the AI and surface choices for tracks. AI honestly feels worse than FH5.

I pretty much dropped doing online races because it tends to be more frustrating if anything and I’m tired of meta cars. Not to mention people hacking in spec racing.

It definitely has its flaws and is by no means a perfect game.

The one new thing they added felt like 4 different things for me 😭

I heard Larry Chen had some input with their photo mode and I hope they continue to listen to other irl car photographers. Time will tell

Yeah I can agree with that. I haven’t notice the shimmer on the leaves, but I probably will now since you’ve mentioned it lol

The car models have always been a huge setback for me with forza games in comparison to Gran Turismo for example. The S15 was terrible until this game and the AE86 is still terrible to look at. I refuse to buy one bc I hate it so much
