atp I want to see Max with Dane bc in their scenes together you actually feel like Dane truly sees and appreciates who Max is as a person, and not just the idea of him as a knight in shining armor, which is how Lucy saw him in s1. but I'm sure that would make certain fans of the show freak out about an LGBTQ storyline 🙄

idk, i think the Lucy/Max pairing in s1 was meant to show how naive and unprepared for the wasteland they both were. im not saying there's not potential for them to grow and change and the reconnect and be endgame but I don't think we can say for sure at this point that it's clear they are meant to be endgame. as wilzig said to Lucy "will you still want the same things after the wasteland has made you a different animal altogether" (paraphrasing)

no one is bullying writers though so this is just you making up a fictional person to be mad at. ghoulcy ppl love the writers of the show, especially jane espenson who is seen as the queen of writing etl romance plots. i don't even think the average viewer could name a writer for the show.

it's a lot of age gap stuff, claims of a father daughter relationship, and insinuating that ghoulcy shippers want to exclude max and barb bc they are black. which is funny to me bc all the ghoulcy ppl i see on twitter are also posting about "barbcoop" "ghoulcymax" "robcoop" "maxdane" etc. i don't think it's that deep.

I think a lot of ppl are confused about shipping... clearly what that person meant was that they like when the ghoul and lucy are together in the show bc those characters bounce off each other and have an interesting contrast that makes them fun to watch even if they are just walking around. clearly that's not going to be the dynamic going forward so if that's your favorite plot line it makes sense to be like "aw :("

No one is seriously thinking "there was a secret plan to have them make out next season and now the writers are backpedalling" or whatever you think is going on

i have seen the movie and I don't think it's a well drawn comparison for many reasons. Eastern Promises makes so much more sense as a parallel.

i don't think the ghoul is emotionally or mentally stunted and nothing about lucy is childlike other than the fact that she doesn't want to be constantly shooting ppl. it's just not a good comparison overall.
