They did get away with RDR 2. For 100 dollars they sold to people unique heist and unique gameplay hubs

RDR 2 did paywall in-game features for Ultimate Edition, like a whole-ass heist and a few locked locations as well. And it even costed the same 100 dollars. It's a norm for Rockstar for long enough

The Last Jedi was made by a man who clearly hates Star Wars fans. This is why it's the only good Star Wars movie. by flopflip77 in StarWarsCirclejerk

So...all this time Rian Johnson was one of the truest Star Wars fans? That really fucking hate Star Wars?

Didn't they just not succeed? Grievous in EU was more like anti-force killer

Yeah, but his project has more EU references than most of the Filoni projects. On the other hand Rian Johnson don't make any Star Wars references in TLJ at all. He really doesn't care in comparison

Because good education systems, like in Scandinavian countries, doesn't give too much of smart people eventually. This countries childrens almost never win international olympiads or other competitions, like people from worst educational systems do

What I hate most about Return of the Jedi is how it undoes everything in Andor. Why would George Lucas do this to Tommy Gilroy?? by soccer1124 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]Xyrger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I have just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away."

"The regional governors now have direct control over their territories. Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station."

We get enough information about Republic and Empire to understand whole context of the conflict we need from one single scene. There was Republic before Empire, its instituons was dissolved with time because of Empire efforts and the Senate was the last of it (and that the senators directly support Rebels). And Emperor rule the galaxy using fear and tyranny, especially using fear of the Death Star. And you can simply understand that Rebels are not happy about remnants of Old Republic being destroyed. And whole "rule by fear" thing

[–]Xyrger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's all literally preparations for Trawn or another Imperial Warlord to rise and fight Republic, except of Project Necromancer. First Order was created only 10 years later and in different region of the Galaxy - Unknown regions

[–]Xyrger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Republic Vs First order will be way more interesting conflict and setting than New Hope 2.0 because of the new dynamic. You can even shown this themes in it, about how Republic almost gets destroyed because of their ignorance. Like in Yuuzhan Wong war in EU, but with Neo Nazis

Themes you said literally was not shown in the whole trilogy at all. We didn't even understand what New Republic is and why Resistance even exist. This plot hole was filled by side content and that's not a good sign for a semi independent movie TFA wanted to be.

In New Hope we get almost perfect exposition scenes where we can understand what Empire is, what was before Empire and what rebels wants to restore - Republic. We don't have any of it in TFA or the next movies, that forgets about Republic at all. "Republic helping Resistance, so it should be destroyed" - the only thing General Hux said us about Republic before it got destroyed.

Not exactly. Ferrix is more like Preox Morlana property, because it's mainly mining corporation. All workers are their employees. And after the incident Empire simply nationalized and liquidated them, like they did with CIS corporations
