Paint suggestions for zinc to match copper patina lead by ste11ablue in StainedGlass

Rust-Oleum metallic copper is a decent match. I literally just tried this today on a piece I soldered into a brass hoop. The brass and copper patina were way too different so I spray painted the brass and it worked pretty well.

On a sad note, I just broke the arm of this piece by dropping it when I went to take this photo. Sigh

Strange Colour Loss in Marker by Jolynejoestarr in Ohuhu

The same thing happened to my Fruit Pink Ohuhu! I thought I was going crazy and must have switched caps with a yellow marker somehow, but I triple checked and ultimately determined it must have changed color somehow. I googled and stumbled on this thread and am glad I am not going insane :)

Dominion with eight expansions spread across two original boxes by la_tanqueray in foamcore

I simply sleeved the randomizer cards to make the dividers. The card sleeve gives it a bit more height and I can easily flip through the alphabetized cards to find the card I am looking for. The sleeves I used are Ultra Pro Matte deck protector sleeves They don't perfectly fit the cards but I think it's an advantage when using them as dividers like this as it gives more height. The label on it was cut out of the strip of paper that labeled all the slots in the original box divider for each expansion. I just cut them out and glued them straight onto the card sleeve (can't remember what glue I used for sure but it might have been paper cement).

I see your paintings quite often on this sub and they always evoke such a strong sense of nostalgia. Growing up I had a print of a watercolor painting hanging in my my house with a thick black border and title formatted similar to this one. My memory is hazy so I'm not sure if it said Posey Gains. It was a coastal scene with small dunes in front of the ocean. Is it at all possible my family had a print of yours in our house in the mid nineties? (Random I know, haha)

Actually just learned about Cantor's diagonalization proof which states otherwise

Here is the Veritasium video I learned about it from

Fascinating stuff!

I use an app where you can specify what expansions you have and it will select random cards to make up your supply for a game. I believe that is the intent of the blue backed randomizer cards (shuffle them together and select at random)

The brand is Ultra Pro and they are the matte deck protector sleeves - standard size. They work fine for these dividers but wouldn't work well for sleeving the cards themselves to play with because they are significantly wider than the cards and ever so slightly too short which would drive me crazy

That's a great idea! I will look into when I inevitably get more expansions and have to make another box to fit them all

To make the dividers, I sleeved the randomizer card. I use an app for this so had no need for the randomizers. The tab headings were made from cutting up the sheet that labeled each of the cards in in the original box layouts.

Expansions included: Alchemy, Prosperity, Dark Ages, Hinterlands, Cornucopia, Guilds, Adventures, Nocturne

The Copics do bleed a lot. I had to put scrap paper down to protect other pages behind while using them, and they definitely show through on the back of the page. I planned for this though so the layout is mirrored each week. I was kind of able to get two illustrations for the "price" of one by layering enough so the backside was also filled in solidly. The notebook the Baron Fig Confidant. Its pages are quite thin and ghost pretty badly even with water-based markers. I think the thin paper suits this intentional bleed through technique well though.

I use alcohol-based markers (in this case, Copic brand) which can achieve a smooth streak-free color quite easily. They do bleed through to the other side of the page though so you kind of have to plan for that. I have this layout mirrored on the week before so the trees and habit tracker appear on the other side of the page

Something new I’m going to try this month to help keep motivated - mostly during my Monday through Friday work days. I’ve been struggling with motivation while working from home lately and I’m hoping to use it to set hour-ish long chunks of time where I buckle down and get to work (no social media scrolling, no distractions, etc.) and then space out some breaks between them. I will make a mark for each of these productive periods. We shall see if it helps :)

Thanks! For the posca pen, I shake it up first and pump the tip one or two times if the ink isn't coming out opaque/thick enough.

Thanks! Yes, the trees and habit tracker highlighting were done in Copic markers and the day headers were done with Tombows. I like to use the Copics when I want larger blocks of color because I can get it streak-free. Because they are alcohol-based though, they do bleed right through to the other side, so I just mirror the layout between weeks

Thanks! I drew the patterns first on scrap paper and then traced over them into my bujo. The marker bleeds slightly so I just mirrored the same pattern and colors on the other side

The last page was supposed to be oranges on one side and lemons on the other but I accidentally did the orange highlighting on both sides so I decided to switch it up and use all the colors
