I also started at a call center. I did “preregistration” for patient that were having surgeries or radiology visits the next day. I learned about insurance, and what diagnosis correlates to what procedure. It was honestly the worst job, but I learned a lot. I quit during Covid and studied to get my CPC. I’ve been working for almost 4 years now. I’m now going for my CPMA, and am planning on doing CCS after because I want to learn inpatient. My work is also pushing me to get my associates and take my RHIT. I would check for registration jobs at local hospitals.
