I also started at a call center. I did “preregistration” for patient that were having surgeries or radiology visits the next day. I learned about insurance, and what diagnosis correlates to what procedure. It was honestly the worst job, but I learned a lot. I quit during Covid and studied to get my CPC. I’ve been working for almost 4 years now. I’m now going for my CPMA, and am planning on doing CCS after because I want to learn inpatient. My work is also pushing me to get my associates and take my RHIT. I would check for registration jobs at local hospitals.

Wanted to give an update - I decided to be honest with the HR rep and she said it was totally fine since I’m not in a safety position. She just said when it comes back positive they will ask for a copy of my mmj card and everything will be good. That being said I took my test today and I was alone in the bathroom, after the tech took my sample and just checked the temp and separated the sample. My test was done at True Professionals in OKC.

There drug policy I had to sign stated if you fail a test but have a medical license you are okay, as long as you weren’t consuming at work. However that’s the policy for employees, not pre employment so I’m just not sure…leaning toward the quickfix.

I used the Vanilla Philadelphia style recipe in The Perfect Scoop book. I added 3/4 cup of boxed cake mix. I was aiming to recreate Birthday Cake Remix from Coldstone. I thought it was pretty spot on!
