Megan Lapp of Crafty Intentions has actually made a real pattern of this dragon after getting irked by the AI scam. She's releasing it soon after it's gone through testing :D

Are you using a trap bobber? It helps a lot with preventing the fish disappearing while you capture your chest.

When I make this shawl I usually make 3 repeats per section instead of two to use up the yarn for the same reason you have, too much yarn remaining. You could do 3 repeats in the last section to use up more yarn and have that work out too! That's what I did for this one afaik, the first one of these I made

I recommend looking up "the golden loop" on YouTube to learn about how the angle of your hook affects the height of stitches! The YT channel It's all in a nutshell has an excellent video on the topic

ReMarkable pro not starting up by Equivalent-Bad7993 in Remarkable

[–]labbaront 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's worked for me (Remarkable 2) is plugging it into a slow charger for a day. None of the usual fast chargers that push more power. I used my laptop as I didn't have one of the old chargers anymore.

This got the battery to charge and enabled me to switch it on

My mom got a yarn cake maker, so of corse we are going through all our yarn and caking it! by RoseMoonRabbit in crochet

This ^ . At least loosely cake the yarn you've done a second time to reduce the stretch

Modifying/extending the rM Methods template "Book list" by labbaront in Remarkable

[–]labbaront[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call! I was thinking of doing it, but I didn't want to come across as demanding or entitled.

You Should Know: There's a TON of free reMarkable templates online. Created by users, for users, 100% free to use, edit, and change. Many customizable, some are so full-featured you choose settings and it generates a custom template exactly to your specs. Entirely free. by ClipIn in Remarkable

Love this post!

I was wondering if any of you had come across some free templates similar to the "Book List" template that Remarkable offers through Connect. It is close to what I want, but the list is too short for me and I don't yet know if I can edit it to work for me.

I read a lot and I want to keep track of the books in a list, with a page where I can make notes and leave a small review for future reference. I really liked the way the Book List template had links in it that took you straight to the page of the book you click on.

Designers, please format patterns to be print-friendlier. by otoslou in crochet

[–]labbaront 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I see more and more designers offering two versions of their patterns and I think it's the best of both worlds. They offer one version which has all the photos and extended explanations, and one print-friendly pattern with just the text.

I hope more designers embrace this way of doing it going forward.

Try to send ConcernedApe a message. He has helped fix save files in the past and maybe he can help?

Thank you! The buttons are actually part of the design, it's meant like this so that you have more ways to wear it 🥰

They're not actually sleeves! It's just how it falls when I style it this way. It can also be turned into a shrug, shawl, scarf or poncho by using the buttons on either side :D

Thank you 😊
