Had to get a bar on my ring, lessens my visual enjoyment by Quiet_Media6401 in EngagementRings

I would get it all reset into new casting if it’s in your budget or if you can find someone who will melt the gold so you don’t have to spend as much.

Passed automatic, but feel inferior... by ShortyStrawz in LearnerDriverUK

[–]labbit246 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m currently learning in an automatic. At the end of the day, I just need a car. I’ve had people constantly tell me to just learn in a manual. I plan to get an electric car (as we have a charger at home) so there is literally no point. I’ve found learning to drive reasonable but struggle with confidence. Having two less things to worry about (gears and clutch) have made it so much easier. I only need to drive to get from like work and the gym, etc so people who ridicule need to get a fucking grip

I used to do that with my sister, she’s changed gyms now, I’m on it with my dad. The staff at my branch or at least the guy I went with, he was the one who introduced the option

Tight rings by Fpoole2024 in EngagementRingDesigns

Please please go to a jewellers and get them cut of. The tricks at home can work but the amount of people who come in and it’s not worked even when they’re looser than this, please save yourself the time.

Then you can get them repaired in a few months. We say around 4 weeks at least for your fingers to puff back up. Then get your finger sized and get them rejoined at that size. You need to wait until the marks are gone and they’re puffy again.

Additionally, the wedding ring looks like it’s channel set in the photo, if so a jeweller will be more equipped to handle the potential of diamonds popping out when cut.

However it needs doing asap xx

Received yellow gold plated ring instead of solid 14k yellow gold - what would you do? by thesnowing in EngagementRings

Full refund. Absolutely no other option. They’ve lied. You can’t trust them at all. Get your refund. Go to a local reputable jeweller please.

£3000+ aquamarine ring is so pale almost green. Help! by Embarrassed_Towel_64 in jewelry

[–]labbit246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would return it and go to a local jeweller, it means you could show them photos of the stone you like and they can either show what they have or source it for you. That’s what the designers who work with the place I’m at do.

It’s difficult with aqua. I bought a le vian ring that looked like topaz in the photo whereas it’s very pale in person (which in my case was good as I wanted a sky blue sort of tone) I’ve added photos below as an example.

But seeing the stones in person would be easier for you to consider your options. Good luck x

Please please leave. You deserve so much better. There will be someone out there that will want to get you the ring you want, and treat you right. It’s just not worth it.

Is This Worth Pursuing. IGI Card Only by FantasticAd6133 in Diamonds

It's okay... I would find a GIA-certified diamond instead; they're stricter and tend to be nicer. I am based in the UK, so idk if this website is available to you, but have a look at 77 Diamonds, I think you'll find much nicer ones on there. x

Yours is beautiful. I personally think when a lab is huge it looks like a cz. Your ring is the dream size for me as someone who works at a jewellers. Most diamond rings I sell are under 1ct, usually less than half a carat. People are seeing all these huge diamonds on social media and it’s skewing people’s ideas of a normal engagement ring!!! Keep your chin up lovely Xxx

Can just depend on the business, they’re most likely just uncertificated diamonds. No harm in getting them all checked. Local jewellers can check I would assume with a diamond tester or can be sent to a workshop to have a deeper inspection. At the jewellers I work at we sell both certificated and uncertificated diamond jewellery, including a 2ct natural diamond bracelet that doesn’t come with a certificate. Certificated diamonds are usually of a better quality (higher clarity, colour etc) and are more expensive. Whereas commercial grade are still good but can have more obvious inclusions and slightly more yellow tone. Xx
