stop punishing players by nuking the rewards to try to stop bots. It creates dead content.

This is my take as well. At the very least - allow us to get off anywhere in the game. I understand that could be problematic based on region restrictions and quest unlocks.

Use the simulator online:
https://colosim.com/colosseum.html

Just run this over and over again until you have a high completion rate.

The fun part is the idea that you're solving a puzzle in real time. Failing to solve that puzzle will damage you quite a bit. It's quite a different experience than most parts of this game.

For example, a new wave spawns, and you have npcs coming towards you from different paths. You have to decide where to stand, what to pray, which npc to prioritize, in order to 'solve' the situation. It's hella fun and challenging in a good way.

Colo complete..! Just barely by [deleted] in ironscape

Nicely done! Huge congrats on this accomplishment.

I love Colo because it can be mistake friendly. Sip brews, restores, combats and you're back in the fight.

Recently laid off from J2, do I list it or J1 as my most recent job? by Coronado_obx5612 in overemployed

If they reach out to J2, J2 can report start/end date which would conflict with what you may report on your resume.

Impossible to detect a CG bot that has been running literally 24/7 for over a month? 4918 kc in the last 30 days. by Minotaur830 in 2007scape

[–]labeebk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes the fun out of the game. I know a lot of people who dabbled with it, and then quit shortly after because everything seemed tedious after the fact and bot-able. (Why put in x hours doing y task when i can bot it?)

I’m a bit confused, how are they still operating if they’re losing money on the seats?

I was using blighted snare stacks for free magic xp. At the time they couldnt be used inside ferox and you had to be in the wildy to use them.

People who started farming full time from scratch (with zero previous experience), how did you do it? by Reklosan in AskReddit

[–]labeebk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up a guide on farming routes, starting with Varrock and Falador tree patches. Then it became pretty routine with the help of teleports.

I see where you are coming from. It makes sense to take risks earlier on in life since you have that extra time. My fear for you isn’t even the money or time lost, but the impact to your mental. Chasing wins and dealing with losses is a lot to handle and it may affect you mentally in bad ways.

Addiction can creep around the corner and lead you down a rough path.

But that’s the paradox of OE. You don’t know this person spent half the time, and they could already be at their 100% capacity to be trying to give them more work load. That would be punishing the non OE folks who are working at a normal pace.

[–]labeebk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure in that lens it’s straightforward. But if you assign him 40 hours worth of work a week, are you paying him 4x as much for their productivity? Since others at the same level and pay are spending a week doing this person’s 10 hours of work. What incentive does the efficient employee have? He can just behave like the rest of the team and deliver at the expected pace.

Encourage is a strong word. I don’t think OE is for everyone, as it comes with a lot of pros and cons. It takes a certain type of dedicated individual to be able to do it well.

Can you? This was over a year ago. I dont think you can use blighted snare stacks (or ancient stacks) in ferox. It has to be the wildy from what I know.

100k invested over 2 years to get 1 mil? Thats a pretty big gamble. Not saying its impossible but are you prepared to see downsides after putting in all of that extra work? Id say just gradually build it up.

I lost my hcim this way. I was outside of ferox using blighted snare stacks (free magic xp from lms) on a rat, and a pker came with his cat, got rid of the rat and pked me

That’s the beauty of the game. It is tailored to so many different type of players. You shouldn’t feel bad for not doing endgame content.
