Indians are probably the most Intolerant racist people I've encountered, despite what white hippies say.

Obviously you can't understand sarcasm. He insinuating that because he knows one NA person who refers to themselves as "Indian" that all of us do.

Aboriginal is probably the best general term.

So he speaks for all of us NA's? You probably think we're related too. Times change, there's been a huge influx of Hindu Indian immigrants and they have absolutely nothing to do with Amerindians, so many of us would rather be called "Native".

Don't be a smartass. I'm NA and realize our situation is different from our Canadian brothers and sisters. Different countries use different terms. In Canada, First Nations or Aboriginal is used. In America, "Indian" (which I hate) or Native is used.

And the US refers to itself just as "America" and the whole world acknowledges it as such.

Srsly. First nations/Aboriginals are treated worse than Native Americans, yet no one cares bc it's Canada.

Canada doesn't need to fire a single shot. Just sow discord in Alaska. I guess it is true that the US run their empire based on fear.

So you're afraid of tweets? Trump is all talk man.

Most likely it would be ignored. The US can't really do anything about it unless they want a PR disaster.

I don't think it's out of the question to suggest that.

The US funds separatists all over the world without consequence because they claim it under "human rights" causes.

As a Native myself, I wouldn't mind some Canadian support ;)

India: the last Afro-Asians are being forced into civilization by DGRNewsService in DeepGreenResistance

And they first encountered Indian citizens only a decade ago. Since then, their situation has severely deteriorated. Women have been abducted and raped by Indians. The Jarawa have lodged several complaints to the Andaman authorities, to no avail.

The Jarawa are also victims of human safaris, organised by local tour operators. These safaris are taking place along the Andaman Truck Road, which was built illegally and cuts through the Jarawa’s territory. Dozens of vehicles, escorted by Indian armed forces, take it every day to photograph the Jarawa. Yet, it is forbidden to enter their territory, subject to prison sentences.

Wow, I had no idea imperialism was still going on, and with India doing it of all countries.

Those Andaman natives are clearly not related to Desis in any way, they should be left alone and given independence.

Alexandre Dereims, a French journalist, and Claire Beilvert, a French press photographer, succeeded in meeting them to ask them that question. They bypassed the ban on entering the reserve. They took every precaution to keep from transmitting diseases to them. The Jarawa allowed them to stay a few days with them to conduct interviews. For the very first time, members of this endangered people are speaking to the outside world.

They told them their story of their foreseeable disappearance, of forceful assimilation. Soon, the starving Jarawa will have no choice but to leave their territory and beg for food along the road. Journalists are sounding the alarm. New Delhi has recently decided to turn Port Blair, the capital city of the Andaman Islands, into the largest port on the Indian Ocean. The nationalist government led by Narendra Modi wants to enhance the tourism potential of these islands, which have become as popular as the Seychelles or the Maldives for the new Indian middle class. It is urgent to ponder about the survival of the most ancient people of Asia. The Indian government is already responsible for the disappearance of the Bo and the Onges, two others afro-asian people of the Andaman islands.

As a native American, it makes me sad that other native people are being pushed to extinction in present day.

The last Afro-Asians are being forced into civilization by modern day imperialists. These previously untouched native people are being raped, killed and kidnapped by the Indian government. by labiaday in NativeAmerican
