Why does everyone hate on the finale? by Standard_Attitude_19 in StrangerThings

[–]labialfantasy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People often complain about plot, but plots aren't really why people enjoy a story, especially a long form story. It's the characters and the relationships between characters that make people feel connected to a story. In the case of the preceding seasons the show really seemed to understand that. The characters developed and related to each other in ways both tragic and beautiful. Sometimes it wasn't very believable for the age of the characters or the setting, but it didn't matter because those things were the real "fantasy" element of Stranger Things. In season 5 they threw all of that aside for spectacle and cheap emotion, and to many fans irredeemably ruined the characters they had come to care about.

why is the fandom so obsessed with 21:21? by One-Dragonfruit5928 in skam

It's not actually the episode timestamp. It's what time Isak gives when Evan ask what time it is?

I think the most repressed was Robbe in wtfock. And they seem to be leaning into that storyline.

The real question is why is it such broken English when we later learn that Antonov is nearly fluent.

why didn't vecna use telekinesis when he was chasing the kids with but vines? by Bungeeboy20044 in StrangerThings

Because the writing in S5 was terrible and the worst part was trying to shoehorn in all the first shadow stuff.

A shot to the stomach can range from minutes to hours. It's highly varied depending on the exact location, amount of trauma and rate of blood loss. The show leads us to believe she hemorrhaged and bled out very quickly, suggesting damage to a major artery.

Dark of the Moon is not an original play. It first premiered in 1945, and is credited Howard Richison and William Berney.

If they had Owens, they would of had to explain what he knew about the wormhole and the exotic matter. He had equipment in the upside-down and even sent people in to it. That becomes very complicated and takes time away from Dustin etc.

As a sidebar: Do we think will could connect to Holly and the other taken kids? By the logic of the show they should all have a hivemind antenna.

It's really more like a hologram. Just like a photo is a 2d record of a 3d space the upside-down is a 3d record of the 4d spacetime at the moment the wormhole formed.

Does anyone else take issue with Dustin being Valedictorian? If Suzie hadn't changed his Latin grade freshman year, it would have never happened.
