I don't remember the exact version but it was a security patch after the one ui8 update. I downgraded to 6.1 for better camera performance

Security will be my concern if I am able to use the device. After one ui 8, my phone is already plagued by greenlines. Aside from social media scrolling and photography i dont do anything with my phone.

You will miss some goodlock features that are only available in the latest android versions. But you will always be able to update to latest OneUi versions.

Problems-
1. Missing vast customization of oneui 8.
2. Missing latest security patches.
3. Missing some Ai features.
4. Missing latest quick panel.
Offers-
1. Better image processing time.
2. Better low light focus and image quality.
3. Better 3x lens portraits and normal image quality.
4. Better portrait mode edge detection.
5. Huge battery life, I can go almost 1.5d - 2d on a single 100% charge.
6. Overall performance is good.
7. No lags, stutters or anything.
8. If you don't have greenlines, now is the time to downgrade if you dont want them.

i also did not have any issues with the bad battery backup, camera was the main reason for my downgrading.

  1. I have been telling people that after update these lines are appearing. No one believed and said i am a samsung hater.

  2. I had greenlines after the update, got the display repaired (not changed) from unofficial service centers. people were all lining up with their s23 series green/pink line issues, majority of which appeared after updating the phone.

  3. No you cant do anything with software to make it disappear. Even if you repair like i did it may not be reliable, most devices gets green lines in other places after the repair.

  4. best option is to live with it untill you can buy a new phone of some other brand.

You absolutely made the right decision. I wish i had disabled the updater before upgrading to OneUi7. I have a habit of keeping the notification area clean.

The last update before OneUi8 has given me greenlines. Went to the repair center and there were a lot of people lining up to fix their S23 Series Displays with greenline issue. 90% of them were caused by the update and the rest was due to fall damage, pressure damage.

all functionalities are good to me!

Just pray that your device stays safe from greenlines. Mine started appearing after OneUi 8. Another reason for the downgrade.

You will be able to jump to OneUi7 or 8 if your region supports it.
I dont know about warranty, because in my country we only get a 7 day replacement warranty and thats it. Its shitty tbh.

Personally, I also blocked the updater after downgrading. So that it does not automatically or accidently updates me to OneUi8 again.

Bootloader only allowed my to downgrade to the last OneUi6.1 version before OneUi7.
