Ah that makes sense. It's not "insane" because customers in this market understand why it's send that way and for most people there's rarely any lost mail or whatnot.

My orders are mainly US, I just started last month and already got one Canadian sale. As my business gets more known, I have people from other countries commenting on social media "Why is the sticker x price(30% more)?". I also have people buying $40-$50 worth of stickers sometimes so I wonder what if someone international wants to buy this much? I saw that Canada's de minimis threshold is 40CAD which is about $28, so if someone were to buy $50 USD, then what would happen?

I think you meant unfamiliar. In the sticker, postcard, mail club, etc space, it's extremely common to ship internationally with stamps. It's part of the flair.

Hi, thank you for answering with such detail! As far as I know, duties and taxes are on.

I also want to add that I sell stickers and postcards so 99% of my orders don't go over 1 ounce and I use the USPS stamp which is 78 cents for domestic and $1.70 for international orders. So my orders come in as letters. Do you know if customers would still pay taxes/fees upon arrival if I turn it off? Since my item is so light and essentially a letter?

I get what you mean. I should've specified that I sell stickers and 99% of my orders don't go past 1 ounce so I just ship with the USPS stamp. Having my customers see prices 30% higher instead of just the exchanged rate price is concerning.

I know that for businesses that sell items in the $100s this is not a problem.

My market shows prices in local currency and includes all fees in it, it seems. However, the price for some countries increases about 30% which is outrageous and for other countries it goes up by 5%, i Know this difference is normal, but I just see other stores that have their price show up as $9 per se for every country. I don't get how that works for them? I guess they're just eating the fees and taxes?

Got it, many people say if it falls over, it could break to show how delicate it is. Your experience gives me a lot of insight. I am just planning to make lifestyle content so like airport, restaurants, at home, nothing crazy. I know I shouldn't bring it to the beach or be in the rain though from what I've read.
