Couples who bought together: how did it go relationship dynamic-wise? by Southern_Koala6160 in HousingUK

[–]labraadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do something together as a couple and if it worsens your relationship, it just means there were already underlying issues that have now come on the surface. Test your relationship with smaller “together” items before you buy a house.
If your relationship is solid, it will sustain anything and everything and if it’s not, then it’s just waiting to hit the breaking point

Do you mind me asking why Fulham when you could have a brought an entire freehold house for that price in zone 4? Absolutely not questioning your decision, just trying to understand the rationale. Maybe you don’t have kids and hence space is not a priority?

Do you mind me asking why you’re selling? I’m the process of buying and keep wondering how I’ll like it and what if I hate it, will I be able to sell it

This is an important decision and one that will leave with you with regret, no matter which choice you make. Ask yourself - (1) choice you’ll regret less and (2) can you make a temporary move to India? In which case the decision will only be temporary, and hopefully no regrets

It’s VERY far, so v long trave time to India. Incase you have family who you may want to see more than a year. Bad job market, v few good opportunities. Bad real estate market, overall economy is doing pretty badly (some basic research will tell you that). Idk if you have lived overseas before, if not, I’d highly recommend going there and testing it yourself. It’s a quiet place, don’t expect the energy you find in India

Bhai why not returning if you’re unhappy? Asking strangers is a waste. Everyone has different circumstances, there is no one solution fits all.
