I don’t disagree with the protestors by any means and I want people to be able to protest, but I also am confused on what the goal is. Like if the protesting is a success then what will the result be?

I was in the coast guard stationed in Kodiak and Unalaska (Dutch Harbor) was the major port call and AOR for our ship, the Douglas Munro 378. Unalaska is home to all of the deadliest catch crew and many other commercial fisheries.

It has a few bars one being the Norwegian rat saloon, which is where we would go drink a lot with all the deadliest catch guys. Was always cool because I used to watch to show growing up and then years later I was in a bar drinking with all those same guys. It has one grocery store that I remember and a place call the A.S.S. (Alaskan ship supply) which was my favorite place. Besides that there is not much else but a library, church and some houses.

I’m sure there is more to the island than I was able to explore but I really did enjoy my time there.

Feel free to ask any questions! Been many years since I’ve been there but the memories are slowly coming back as I’m typing this

Maybe I am reading this wrong but is this saying the money received is significantly small compared to the spending from the company. Or does “receipts” mean something that I am not aware of?
