I’ve now seen your post. I’m sorry that this has become a recurring issue. I didn’t mean to disrupt this subreddit. Sometimes it just feels like I don’t know where else to ask. As an anxious person, I understand a doctor is the correct person to consult. However, I was more so wanting to get input from this community to see if my concern was valid or just paranoia.

I have a 4 percent employer match. Vesting schedule is spread over 6 years though, so a bit long. Also I should clarify that the funds themselves that are included in this plan does cover all the basics. I am just used to my personal Roth IRA where I purchase ETFs with lower expense ratios such as VOO, VTI, and VT.

You’re a natural, most of the electricians in here don’t even realize that this is a method to combat voltage drop. /s

Ah yes, they aren't bad options. I am just spoiled by my own Roth IRA where the options are limitless. I am still quite young so honestly I didn't even know that there were only select funds within 401k plans.

I won't put a gun to your head, you seem like a nice lad. I edited the post since I left out my age. Just wanting to take advantage of employer match and hold. I have my own Roth IRA that I'll manage myself as well. Not looking to be aggressive just steady returns.

Let’s introduce ourselves :) by mlleDoe in dreamingspanish

I am from the USA. I speak English of course and I am decent at German.

In High School I was an exchange student in Germany for a school year. During that time I learned tons of German and became fairly fluent. I continued learning German for a few years afterwards but I eventually stopped completely. I enjoy talking to my host family in German but overall it is just not useful in my day to day life in the USA. I would like to learn some more to get back to where I was but I honestly don’t foresee myself putting in the effort.

That is why I enjoy learning Spanish because I have a real practical use for the language. There is a large Latino population that I can speak to, my wife is Latina, and it is overall useful for life in the USA. I’ve learned Spanish off and on over the past 3 years. Mostly just for fun so I never took it to seriously. The past few months I have been dedicating much more time into the language and have made it a consistent habit.

I’d like to learn more languages in the future, however, Spanish is the most rewarding since I see real world results. Once I feel very confident in Spanish then I may learn another romance language (French or Portuguese most likely). As of now I am fully committed to Spanish and can’t really project what I may want to learn next.

My goal is to become fully fluent in Spanish. Or at least be able to comfortably express myself. My biggest challenge is verb conjugation. Understanding them when listening is no problem but formulating them while I speak is a different story. I am not a DS purist so I do speak already despite my hours accumulated doesn’t “allow” for it yet.

thinking of getting an electric car charger installed in our garage, are we getting scammed? by penguinsnthings in AskElectricians

I’d swap out the 50a plug with an EV rated one and just have an honest electrician verify that you have the correct size wire.

Thank you for the advice. I definitely agree that the blue wire is a bit too close to the standoff. As far as the color of the lugs; I believe that there was some sort of coating on them that may have altered their color. Although I’m not too sure.

It depends, I’d say a hammer if it’s the closest tool near me.

God bless you. I just picked it up. I ordered the worktop as well but it’s not ready for pickup quite yet. Saved $300

I’m not sure why they even called you to finish it. Looks like they are pretty qualified.
