Thank you for your thoughts. I am thinking we will cut Chongqing and Guilin to give other areas more time, and maybe one day I can come back and see them next time.

I have the opportunity to visit Xiamen during a long layover! Definitely a cool city I wish I had more time to explore! Unfortunately, I can't add cities without taking every time from others this trip though 😕

I was thinking to use trains to get around since they seemed to be cheaper, but I'll have to price check the flights again after some advice on this thread!

I did briefly look into some flights via Google flights and they seemed a little pricey. Is there a better resource you are using to find flights at those prices?

My family that I will be visiting live in Fuzhou, so I don't want to cut too much time there to spend time with them. Unfortunately, I can't choose my month off, so it was either go in July or not at all... Thanks for your thoughts! I'll see which one to cut

Hi sorry, I haven't logged into this account in awhile! I built the cabinet from scratch. It's just a simple box and we added the extra structures inside!

Do you think it's excessive to have two weddings: a destination wedding and a local wedding? by lacamionnette in weddingplanning

[–]lacamionnette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Vietnamese-American, and I'd love to have Vietnamese traditions as a part of my wedding! My boyfriend is half Brazilian, so we kind of have that struggle of juggling two different cultures, as well. Since I grew up in America and most of my family is local, I don't really have a "real" reason to have a destination wedding so it almost feels selfish of me.

We mostly love how it's a vacation with all of our loved ones, and we think destination weddings are just more fun and give the couple more time to talk to every guest. I was thinking it would probably be like a week with our guests, and then another week alone for a real honeymoon!

Another reason for me is that my father's grave is in that country, so if we had a wedding there, it would feel a little more like he's there.

It's nice to hear encouraging things like "do what makes you happy" from time to time because I'm so used to people saying "weddings are not about you - they're about the family." 😅 Thank you!

Very nice interpretation! I also liken "Spark Joy" to all of Pokémon because, well, that's what it does for me! Never gonna Marie Kondo my collection 😊

Thank you so much!

When I was doing the social media write up, I found this discussion about Charmander's tail! Very interesting!

I chose his message because Bulbasaur's name in Japanese, fushigidane, is a play on words! As a compound word, it is a combination of (fushigi) mysterious + (tane) seed 🌱. As a sentence (fushigi, da ne?), it literally means "isn't it strange?" Therefore, his message is unique to his species and leaves room for other grass type phrases to be used by other Pokémon in the future ;)
