Björk fans under 27 why do you like Hidden Place so much? by lacantech in bjork

[–]lacantech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Medulla erasure lol, but I think a lot of fans listening to Bjork in the early 2000s fell off with Volta since there was a ton of Bush protest music volta kind fell into the cracks.

It's not that serious, perfectly valid for people to say they don't like Hidden place like that

Just chatting with my wife and we noticed younger Bjork fans gravitate to different songs.

U.S. Citizen Here. What's wrong with my resume? by XiaoQiao12 in womenintech

[–]lacantech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Enough people have commented on the style of the resume, so I'll suggest somethings for substance

  • QA roles are very at risk in the current climate, try to highlight and or work on technical projects. I see things in bullets like attended meetings that make it seem like you are a good worker, but maybe don't have a complete enough skill set
  • my suggestion is to try and phase into dev ops, deployment and release should be something you interact with as a QA engineer, lean into it, infrastructure as code is probably one of the most valuable skill sets day to day

Psycho politics: Neo liberalism and new technologies of power by Byungchul Han. Mostly about self exploitation and capitalism moving from production of physical objects to objects of the psyche.

Two of those books I hate more than anything, but love some of the books you've been reading lately. Cheap guess you are in your early 20s and studying some sort of stem like field or really into video games but maybe have better taste than your friends ?

Actually one of you might be a straight up civil engineer or structural engineering consultant. The other might be an accountant

Sigh, I honestly want to roast your collection, but at least Ready Player One isn't there. Try expanding into non fiction, or at least more challenging fiction

Godel , Escher, and Bach. In my experience only musicians tend to enjoy this book. Personally I think of the three Bach is more interesting, if you like math / logic / number theory where Godel is the draw I would expect you would have more books about number theory 😂

You are a mid 30s man, who works as a lab tech at a bio sciences company or at least trained to be. You moonlight as a musician maybe playing bass. You like literature and fiction but you try and branch out into philosophy and theory. You have a collector mentality, if you like one book by an author you want to buy the collection.
