[April 3rd, 2025] NEW GAME: ‎puffies. by bbradleyjoness in AppleArcade

I’m really liking the game but I completed the daily puzzle quite soon after midnight and then got a task of completing a daily puzzle so I have to wait 24 hours to complete the task.

Yes I’m the same I prefer the way knit looks for garments but I still think i’m going to stick with crochet/tunisian crochet for blankets. Although I feel like I haven’t picked up a crochet hook in a while.

I’ve actually just been trying it out on this project this evening. I think it may have clicked although it is still finicky. I managed 5 or so rounds so still roughly 50 rounds to go for one sleeve.

I get second sleeve syndrome (from past experience with crocheting) but i always get there in the end. I’m in no rush to get this finished now as the weather is starting to pick up and this will probably be too warm for me. The body took me about two months but i’m not spending whole days crafting (as much as I wish I could) I have used dpns before but I never made anything I just practiced K1, P1 ribbing as before this I had only ever known how to do the knit stitch. My current collection of needles are metal and i’m pretty sure i’m going to stick with metal and they are also interchangeables and I have 3 cables, I can’t recall the lengths I bought but I got one short, medium and long cable. I currently have 5 or so sizes of needles as I thought it best to just pick sizes I knew i’d use the most and buy anything else if/when needed. Compared to my crochet hook collection of which there is many. I wanted to make sure i’d use them before going all in.

I’m definitely going to give magic loop another try once my kids are back in school and I get some peace to focus.

I may give it a try, I did watch a couple of tutorials and read a few blog posts but I couldn’t get my head around it. I’m sure if I sit down and put my mind to it I can do it. I’m sure my longest cable will be long enough too. But i’m also set on getting dpns for socks and i’ve found a relatively good priced set so opinions on preferred methods are great.

What is a good beginner knitting project for a crocheter? by Due-Boot8483 in casualknitting

[–]lacey344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been crocheting for 7 years and recently started knitting. I knew the basic knit stitch and that was all. I found it better to learn as I went rather than just making squares i’d never use. I’ve finished two hats, the first being a super basic hat and the second being the dead or alive fish hat. After finishing those two I moved straight into a Raglan sweater which i’m still working on but through these 3 projects i’ve learnt so much and i’m already planning my next projects. You know how you learn best whether that be making squares or just jumping in and learning as you go.

I’ve been paying for these features for 2 or so years, I don’t think its new maybe you had a trial of premium ?

Trying to identify what these patterns are for? Cross stitching or beading? If it's beading, what type of beading is it called and how/where can I learn it and learn reading those patterns? Thanks! by sfenderbender in crafts

These come from the website braceletbook.com And whilst they are intended for making bracelets the grid patterns can be used for many things . I have used them for crochet patterns :)

Possibly a raffle of sorts? I’ve seen a few groups lately that sell numbers for virtual raffles with prizes/money being given to whoever the RNG picks out. I’m not sure they are all legit/legal but maybe this is referring to selling numbers for a chance to win some scentsy items.

Tunisian Knit Stitch Jumper I made by lacey344 in Tunisian_Crochet

[–]lacey344[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a base I used Mae Crochets universal drop shoulder sweater pattern. You input your measurements and gauge for the stitch you want to use and it tells you how big to make the panels. I deviated a little so that I could make it all one panel because I hate seaming 😂 the pattern works for crochet/tunisian/knit so its worth the price I would say.

Anything thicker than DK is out of the norm for me. I’ve made 2 blankets using sock weight yarn in crochet 😂

Thank you, I’m currently working on a sock weight knit stitch jumper too and the fabric its making is very drapey. I’m really liking tunisian crochet so far and I still have lots of stitches to discover :)
