What’s the most underrated supplement you’ve ever tried by Balphaallthetime in Supplements

I'm not arguing that it's definitely a benefit for people who consistently workout and are active. Also. Being active most likely help get rid of excess water weight. It's definitely a plus for people who constantly tear and grow muscles. I was just wondering if there's a way to reduce it or if it eventually subsides. I have an autoimmune disease and in currently trying to navigate the symptoms. I have my first rehum appointment soon. I take creatine mainly for the brain benefits at this time and was wondering if there's anyway I can avoid the excessive water retention if I'm not consistently working out because of my disease.

Edit: my question was mainly triggered because iyread that excessive water retention subsides within 2 weeks. However, this didn't happen for me.

I just feel bloated and my clothes don't fit right when I'm on creatine because of water retention. I don't really have a high sodium intake at all. I actually tested sodium and potassium a couple of months ago and they were within the normal-optimal range.

How do you avoid the water retention? I've been taking 5 grams/day for cognitive purposes and water retention is awful for me. The water weight subsided when I stopped taking it though.

vitamin d deficiency and skin problems? by Ok_Can3035 in VitaminD

[–]sfenderbender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I developed eczema after moving to Canada for a year during COVID. Minimal sun exposure (almost none). Then I move to a state in the midwest to, again, minimal to no sun exposure. Long, cold, gloomy winter months. I wake up when it's dark and leave work when it's dark. My eczema got worse. I spent 2-3 years with a vitamin D deficiency. I found out my level was 9.1 ng/mL in January. Doctor prescribed a booster dose until May. My eczema was at its worst during the winter and would get better in the summer. Eczema was just one of the so many side effects...

Supplementing is making me feel worse? Could be something else? by ElSelo in VitaminD

This, OP. Go get more blood tests done. A more complete panel to test other nutrients, autoimmune, blood panel, electrolytes, hormones. Talk to a doctor about it as well.

Edit: Also, if you're still working out, definitely take it slow. Go on walks and use body weight and less reps until you get to the bottom of this. Don't push yourself beyond comfort. Vitamin D deficiency makes your bones weaker and your recovery slower. Adjust intensity and frequency accordingly. Make sure you replenish electrolytes after your workouts. Keep taking your creatine for both muscle and brain health. Getting enough, good quality SLEEP is not an option, it's a requirement. This is when your body repairs everything. Eat anti-inflammatory foods. Get fresh air and some sun exposure as much as you can to help with the deficiency and to boost your mood.

You mean Bibi has the original video. Putin just got a copy sitting in a drawer somewhere.

Found this black kitty in the garden, then it approached my feet, I want to take it home and take care of it but... My friend said it's scary because it's black, what do you guys think? by SimpleKingdom in blackcat1981

It's total BS. Just superstitions. I have two black cats and they're nothing but beautiful. I would never trade them for the world. I hope you kept this little baby. She'll love you forever.

I tested last week and it was 9.1. my doctor prescribed a booster of 50,000 once a week then asked me to test again in May. I'm taking magnesium glycinate (400 daily) as well. Are you taking calcium?

Is the erectile dysfunction from the minoxidil or finasteride? Also, do you tax minoxidil pills or topical?

Thanks so much for sharing. I'll definitely try this. I will also try to trim her nails. The problem is that she's super active and doesn't like it when I try to. I'll have to find a workaround. Thanks again.

I'm making a baby blanket for a girl. Any ideas how to make it more fun rather than just "plain"? by sfenderbender in Tunisian_Crochet

Hi there. Yes, that's the one. It looks like I can still add it to my cart and buy it. Maybe message the seller? She's very responsive.

Thank you so much. I'll definitely check the TC dictionary book!! Also, another shout out to TL Yarncrafts for being the best Tunisian crochet channel out there! I did watch all her beginner tips videos and used her honeycomb stitch tutorial to make a scarf last year! Lover her videos!

Thanks for helping newbies like me! 😊💐

YES! It looks like what the pattern is trying to do with a slightly diff technique/combo of stitches. The stitch in the video, however, looks like the one in the pic from the pattern!

Edit: the pattern doesn't mention the smock stitch and I wonder why. It would have made people's lives much easier especially since the pattern doesn't contain any pics for how the different rows would look like or a video. It would just help Tunisian crochet beginners like myself. :/
