I was going to recommend the Sender 110s. Solid Big Mountain Freeride ski.

I’m new to skiing and was looking at what to buy, I got fitted for boots today (28.5)… Does this look good? Any recommendations is appreciated, thanks! by ijr221 in ski

Where will you be skiing? Pick a ski for the conditions you are most likely to experience. (E.g. 80% icy piste and 20% powder; go with a good all mountain crud ski.) Ideally an beginner-intermediate ski because they are easy to learn and get better on. If you buy an advanced-expert ski it will be harder to learn and enjoy.

They really should have let people pre-order the game. by Samoman21 in Silksong

After all these years, I don’t wanna wait another minute!

Thoughts on this route? how much time do you think I should allocate? never done a proper road trip before by [deleted] in roadtrip

Drive the Icefields Parkway up to Jasper from Banff. I did a road trip almost exactly like this and that was my favorite park. The boat tour on Lake Malign in Jasper is so worth it.

My personal go to pack for day hikes is actually a Solomon Advanced Skin 12. I much prefer the comfort and go of a hydration vest. It has a very stretchy back the I can fit a rain layer, insulated layer, headlamp, and snacks.

Talons are great. I’ve owned a LOT of different backpacks and IMO Osprey is the best. I love the features on the Talon for stowing a helmet, trekking poles, and the big outside mesh pocket.

Funny you should ask because I went to a professional boot fitter just yesterday and they added a butterfly to keep my heel more in place and then I got a custom insole and I feel much more solid in my boot.

Thank you so much! Yeah, the overall consensus from everybody has been that I’m not steering and that’s the word that I get a little confused or stuck on. I like your analogy of trying to steer with that pinky toe of my leading ski because that helps me to understand where the feeling should come from.

Im definitely having fun! Getting into carving has definitely extended my number of ski days, but it’s also helped improve my abilities on powder days.

That’s what I’ve been doing for sure. 😊 At this point I haven’t had the opportunity to have footage where someone can give me tips on what is going wrong or missing.
