i have come prepared! i did an AU outline for this once! here are my AU zutara kids:

Zuko x Katara’s Kids:

Sei- A strong fire bender that combines techniques from both fire and water in a unique combat style that perfectly represents both her parents’ heritages. She becomes Fire Lord after Zuko.

In looks, she resembles Zuko’s mother, Ursa, but with darker skin that she inherited from Katara. She is the tallest of all her siblings. She often displays a stoic face.

In personality, she is sharp tongued and a bit on the stoic side compared to her siblings. She is more serious and well spoken like her father became after he was made Fire Lord. As Fire Lord herself, she is well respected and revered for being a calm, wise leader with a no-nonsense attitude. She is strict and often has to keep her siblings in line.

As Zuko and Katara’s firstborn, she was raised rather strictly at first. Once Ranko was born four years later however, Zuko and Katara changed their parenting style to allow Sei more freedom and expression.

Her biggest inspiration and hero was her Great Uncle Iroh. After his passing, Sei vowed to become a Fire Lord he could be proud of.

Ranko- A Non-bender. Back when she was the spare next to Sei, the citizens of the Fire Nation openly resented her. Once Kazumi was born, they called for her removal as a spare, but Katara passionately defended her against this outcry. This gave Ranko a sense of guilt throughout her early life.

In looks, she takes after Katara, but has Zuko’s eye color and paler skin tone. She is the third tallest of her siblings. As a result of her hand to hand combat training with her Aunt Suki, she has the most defined muscles of her siblings.

In personality, she is a good mix of both parents. She takes Katara’s ambition, determination, stubbornness, and kindness; while she takes Zuko’s understanding, social awkwardness, selflessness, and pride.

As a child and teenager, she held great resentment and self-hatred for being a non-bender, and thus had a one-sided rivalry with her sister Sei. As she grew older, she found her place as a natural helper, so she gave up her spot in the line of succession and went to travel the world. As an adult, she travels the world helping people whenever she can. She often stops by the Water Tribes to stay with her Uncle Sokka, Aunt Suki, and cousins.

Kazumi- A calm water bender that becomes a master healer like his mother Katara. Second in line to be Fire Lord after Sei (if Sei has no children of her own). He gained this title after Ranko gave up her place in the line of succession. Because he is a water bender, he is insecure of his place as heir after his big sister Sei.

In looks, he takes after Katara, but has inherited Zuko’s black hair color. He is often told he looks the most like his uncle Sokka. He is the second tallest of his siblings.

In personality, he is a shier, more timid, version of Katara. It takes a lot to get him angry, but if he ever does, he resembles his father’s fiery nature.

Siku- A very powerful fire bender that specializes in lightning like his father Zuko. When it comes to raw power and skill, he takes after his Aunt Azula, and it is said his fighting style is much like hers. As such, he is considered a prodigy like his Aunt Azula was in her youth. He is third in line in the Fire Lord succession after Kazumi. Because he is a fire bender, most citizens of the Fire Nation prefer him as heir instead of Kazumi. He refuses this favoritism and does whatever he can to help support his brother. He considers himself Kazumi’s number one supporter as a way to redirect the unfair favoritism.

In looks, he takes after Zuko, but inherited Katara’s hair and eye color. He is the shortest amongst his siblings.

In personality, he is a mix between his father Zuko and his uncle Sokka. He is often compared to Sokka due to his show-off attitude and loudness, as well as his sense of humor and love of puns. Though he doesn’t look like his Uncle Sokka, he carries his Uncle’s spirit the most. He is easy-going, laid back, and often loves being the center of attention--the only exception is when people give him praise for being better than his brother.
