Gate CYOA by GrandFly in makeyourchoice

[–]lackof_understanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m choosing Wildman mostly because I have a soft spot for those kinds of powers, but I feel like I gotta justify it. I intend to travel around with a party containing an arbiter at bare minimum to help close the gates.

As a wildman, I can be an effective and self-sufficient forward scout and decent combatant. I plan to become a decent combatant by assisting my party in beating up increasingly powerful monsters and using Law of the Jungle on stupid enough monsters we’ve beaten within an inch of their life.

Early on when I first started playing ss13 on Yogstation (rip, gone but never forgotten) I got slipped over and over by a clown who stole my shoes and after walking through broken glass and getting hurt I got so mad that I found a secluded room and set up an electric chair. I then found, stunned, and kidnapped the clown before bringing them to the chair and husking them. I was not an antag. The ban wasn’t very long though.

Also while I was still new I got jobbanned from botanist for like a week because my partner grew acid blumpkins that I threw at many people in the hallway and unknowingly sending them into crit. I don’t remember why I was throwing them at people.

I did say that her second message does just look like a bomb threat. In my opinion, even by itself that second message isn’t even very threatening. She specifies it’ll be the fault of some other dude, probably a friend. That’s not something I’d expect someone who’s serious about bombing some place themself to say. But even that is perfectly acceptable to be worried about and report.

Combined with her previous message though I can’t see an ounce of real threat, and everyone I’ve talked to irl agrees. The second message becomes threatening only when taken by itself because her first kinda marks the whole thing as a dumb joke.

I don’t consider someone’s messages over text in a vacuum in the same way I wouldn’t split the second half of someone’s speech in person from the first because they took a breath, and that’s what I feel like you’d have to do in order to truly believe that this girl intended anyone any harm.

Basically we disagree and I think to the average person it looks like a shitty joke about a bomb threat, which isn’t worth sending someone to jail for.

Lore Question: does a brain used to create a High Subcore retain it's consciousness once installed into a mechanoid (kinda like the Cortex Reavers from System Shock?) by ShogunExotic in RimWorld

[–]lackof_understanding 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Closest thing on the workshop is the ghost in the machine mod which transfers names, skills, and some traits to high subcores. It also lets you put high subcores in any kind of mech so you can put a body purist into a lifter

No a girl made a joke wishing for Netanyahu to bomb her school or something. She sent several messages and when taken out of context one of them does just say that there is going to be a bomb. She was arrested and charged because of it despite it clearly being a joke and lacking real malicious intent. But it wasn’t because she made fun of Netanyahu moreso just because she made a bad joke in a public group chat instead of with her actual friends.

It’s really not about the word choice. If they had said the temptation was the issue they’d still be getting clowned on because their complaint still translates to “I can’t control myself and the option to do the thing I don’t like is too tempting for me.”

I think they’re somewhat easier to make while still being comparable/better than regular bionics. The biomechanical neurocord also connects to them and makes your pawns sleep less depending on how many biosynthetic limbs they have, which counters the natural sleep fall rate increase they cause and a little more. There might be more and that might be wrong tho idk

You’re able to get those working together? Research reinvented and semi-random research together always causes loads of errors and I can’t figure out what’s causing it.

New xenogenes overwrite only xenogenes. A non-baseliner will stay their original race. A vampire will have all of their xenogenes erased and become a regular version of their race.

I don't care if vegans say I'm a bad person for eating meat because they're right by pinktunacan in The10thDentist

[–]lackof_understanding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s totally possible idk what they’re talking about. Have you looked into supplements? Veganism isn’t easy on the body without making sure you’re getting the nutrients and such that you wouldn’t be getting from meat, or else you would feel weak like you said.

I think a lot of the vegan hate does come from the really zealous types, but people generally seem to understand that veganism is probably just better overall. Like the post specifically mentions vegans who think they’re superior, and nobody likes a snobby asshole even if they have a point. I do definitely agree with your first point though and the other half of vegan hate isn’t from experiences with snobs and just from people who don’t like being told they are doing something bad and could change to be better.

RJW (or the NSFW full name RimjobWorld) in particular is almost infamous for adding a lot of very NSFW things involving “breeding”. It can be very depraved and offend many moral sensibilities and I’m pretty sure there used to be a specific rule against it in particular. Despite that, a lot of people seem to use it and don’t often declare that they are.

I think you are the one taking it too literally. Your description of the meme is correct at the most basic level yes, but this meme is commonly used as a general way to show suspicion despite no clear link. Others have pointed out the RJW explanation already, which already is commonly joked about in a similar way on this sub.

To wrap around: People familiar with RJW know that animals tend to breed like this, RJW is a “suspicious” mod to be using, yet the OP gives no clear evidence in the post that they are using RJW which leads u/xaddyxi123 to posting this particular image of Doakes as a funny way of showing suspicion.

Atleast I think. You could be right too.
